Have there been any software /firmware updates since you posted your video that improved on any of the shortcomings that you felt existed ? (I am really, really interested in the product as a concept, but doesn't sound completely polished yet)
@amigajoe I no longer have the iZon so I can't give you an update on it. I suppose if I get enough people (lets say 150 or so) that would like an update I'll get another one and do a full test.
Does exactly what the box says... What do you want for $100? I have 2, and they are working very well. Not the answer for replacing a security system, but if you want to check on your home or office they work very well. It would help if the product was fully used and understood prior to doing a review. This product is WAY better than this review.
@CBNAInsurance If it did exactly what the box said, and as advertised in the video, I'd have been happy. So happy in fact I would have bought stock in the company. Sadly it fell short by a mile during my month of testing. They may have fixed it and it may be working, but until I see a review I trust I'm not buying. Just do a quick search on reviews and you'll see that I'm not alone in my honest opinion. I keep it real - No BS.
Thanks for your video ! It really helped. I think I'm taking mine back and waiting for the next version. ON A DIFFERENT NOTE, CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO GET MORE THAN 10 MIN UPLOADED TO YOUTUBE ??? Looks like you have 22 min for this video
@UniversalSeminars Hi! I got upgraded to longer videos (no limit) a while back. But I think everybody can upload up to 15 minutes regardless. I do not know the criteria for qualifying for no limit, but I do know the criteria for keeping it - just follow the rules and guidelines they give you.
@se7encapadon As long as your iZon can communicate with the internet after it is setup, and the viewing device (iphone, ipad, itouch) is also on the internet then you can view from anywhere. Downstairs, in your car, upstairs, in another country etc.
I just returned mine, not very useful with an up to 30 second delay, especially if you are monitoring a baby. Oh no, look the baby is choking, oh damn, that happened 30 seconds ago…the baby is dead. Can also take a few minutes to receive your alerts. Nice concept poor execution. Would be better if they had a local server app on your computer. Poor resolution. Better off buying a Lorex IP camera, or just setting up a webcam.
@dtgordon25 Thanks for the comment. I was wondering if they had taken all this feedback and went back to fix these issues. Guess that still hasn't happened - or maybe they need to go back to the drawing board. I hope to see some strides in v2. I'll see if I can talk to them at the next convention.
According to Izon it will record based on motion and sound
Seems for security it would be useless without that option.
"Simply link your free, private YouTube account to Stem:Connect and motion and noise alerts will record video and audio to your account. Or, record 30-second clips directly to YouTube with the touch of a button. Keep your videos private or share them with family and friends."
@Bizness10 Thanks for the comment. I love the youtube option. Execution is poor and un-stable. I hope they are able to address these issues before X-Mas.
@rutter1234 The real issue is that even using them with 1 phone is problematic. Good luck with 2! I'd say it's doubtful, but I did try the iPad and iPhone 4 together at once. Again, even 1 iOS device is too much...
Good info

Do you have to have it next to a wifi connect or can I put downstairs in my car and view upstairs?
