Can you help me? I am looking for camera mainly to shoot videos and take picture on concerts. I dont know if to pick Z serie or this one. Or is there something better? I want it mainly for the concerts
@Macgreez You should look at the new XP20 which added better shock and water protection as well as offers a wide-angle 5x zoom with image stabilization.
@tritontrojan Yes in the setup menu. There is also a silent mode that will turn off all sounds and lights emitted from the camera by pressing the "Disp" button for a few seconds.
@fun4everyonebutyou It marks the files for upload so that later when you connect the camera to the computer, the Fuji software recognizes the marked files and opens up the Facebook or Youtube uploaders app and assist with this.
The only problem is that you can not ajust the white balance for video and other stuff... that is one of the stupid things about this camera, all the rest is freakin' awesome
@Jochemization The camera explodes...j/k. it may still work. Issue with -20 is the battery performance will drop dramtically. Just keep the batteries warm in your pocket or something..
Hello Fugi guys! i recently got a new xp 10 camera but when i use the fast upload to facebook the log in screen simply turns white and says error. Is there any way of fixing this? Thankyou and Great camera! Cant wait for summer to try it in pools and such!
@thecuttie741000 Not sure what the issue is. Have you already setup the My FinePix software with your account information. If you are still having issus, please contact our tech service, 1800-800-FUjI (USA) or in Canada (1-800-461-0416)
@fhab525 They are good however it can be a little noisy in low light during video recording. I would youtube/google sample videos shot with the xp10 to see for yourself.
@Lvdibitetto Yes, sorry, its because i shot that particular video (Greg's bobble head) with a different camera so it didn't let me tag the photo for youtube upload. We due multiple videos and sometimes, we get a little lazy in re-recording sample photo/videos for the camera and just use the same SD card for several cameras. My bad.
so i was wondering, you can film underwater right? like when you go swimming, you can take it underwater and film with it and take pictures? please respond.
@themathewjames I am surprise you would have issues with file compatibility using Gopro with Final Cut. The XP10 records video at 720P, 30fps .AVI as an FYI
@themathewjames You can use a transcoding program to convert your videos to "Apples Intermediate Codec". prior to importing to Final Cut. This will allow you to edit in Final cut without having to constantly render the video. Google is your friend.
Does this have multi-shot? The features seem similar to the z170 plus the shock/freeze/water/dust proof bonus! :) I'm choosing between these 2 models for my girls
@Ska8rMom this model would be ideal as it does have the 4 way protection. Like the Z70, the multi-shot is not that effective as it takes 1 photo a second up to 3 photos. It is very similar to the Z70 except this model has the shock/water/dust/freeze proof element over the Z70.
Hey guys just wondering, How much memory does the camera come with? Or does it have none therefore you must buy a memory card before you can take pictures and videos with the camera?
@the1theonlyganggirl It has a very small internal memory of approx 13MB. With any camera purchase, you should purchase a good size memory card. I would recommend at least a 4GB card however better value can be found on 8 and 16GB cards.
@squeakmo1 On the camera, when you select Facebook or Youtube, it's only tagging the images/video. When you connect the camera to the computer the software will automatically know what images are tagged and will upload automatically (You still need to setup your facebook/youtube account with the My FinePix Studio software first). Hope this helps.
@CCOESable You need to install the FinePix software included with your camera. You then setup your facebook/youtube account with this software so it knows where to upload the images and videos. The next time you connect your camera, the software will know what images/videos you tagged for facebook / youtube and will automatically upload those for you. You can also tag photos / videos using the Finepix software too.
@fantasticfox327 You have to configure your "Finepix" software first with your Youtube account. Then when you connect your computer, the software will upload your tagged "You tube" or "Face book" video/pic to your account that you setup.
I have this camera and cannot figure out how to upload pictures to computer. I did everything it says and nothing automatically pops up on the computer when i plug in usb cable. It says that on my camera but nothing happens on my mac computer......what to do???
@creteman101 Software is not required when using with a Macintosh computer. Try opening up iPhoto prior to connecting and turning on the camera. iPhoto should automatically pick up the camera and assist you to transfer your images to the computer.
@Diabuluss On a 8GB card, you should be able to record up to 31mins of HD 720P video. Individual movies however can not exceed 2 GB in size or 15 minutes in length, regardless of capacity of memory card. On your 8GB card, you can obtain 4 clips approx. 15min in length.
the features are so cool i always wanted to edit and make more then one clip on my camera but i never could but on this one i can not only the features of that it is also water proof, shock proof, freeze proof, and dust proof . im going to make my mom buy it for me
@SongSanitizer No, SDHC just means the size of the SD card is greater than 2GB. Not necessary mean the card has a very fast read/write time. Class 4 is required when shooting HD video. Some non class 4 cards work however most cards slower have issues with recording HD video
@AnthonyfromAandK HD video recording requires a SD card with at least a Class 4 rating. SD cards slower than this will cause the camera to stop recording.
@AnthonyfromAandK Any SD card will work to take photo's and video. Only Class 4 rated SD cards will allow for HD video recording. HD Video recording may be interrupted on slower rated SD cards.

@Raketka29 This or the Z series would probably not be the ideal Concert camera. I would look at the F550EXR which offers a 15x zoom.

@fujiguys Does SDHC count as class 4?
SongSanitizer 1 year ago
@SongSanitizer No, SDHC just means the size of the SD card is greater than 2GB. Not necessary mean the card has a very fast read/write time. Class 4 is required when shooting HD video. Some non class 4 cards work however most cards slower have issues with recording HD video
fujiguys 1 year ago
Wait... it can only shoot up to 1 min per video??? Is there a setting where you can change that??? NO!!!
AnthonyfromAandK 1 year ago
@AnthonyfromAandK HD video recording requires a SD card with at least a Class 4 rating. SD cards slower than this will cause the camera to stop recording.

@fujiguys I ordered a 2GB SD card with no Class on it. Will that still work? I ordered two...
