Dante/Hulk/Sent Chris/Sent/Iron Man Task/Doom/Ammy Arthur/Spencer/Dorm Wesker/Dante/Chun Li to just name a few here. This game is not unbalanced, i can't say that enough. Everyone works very well with each other, if you don't love the vs series you're not going to go far with it. I just hear him saying general complaints.

Its the crack that is a vs. game my friend. Everything happens so fast and you hate being on the end of that long combo(I do too) but you know you love being the one dishing out the style. Vs. games are all about showboating and it is so fun to do. :)

SF3 was complicated and EX was noob friendly but both got lukewarm responses because Capcom tried alot of new things. Games change...when combos, frame data, etc. was always the focus, the games didn't sell well at all. The days of learning a game for months are gone and companies have to adjust...

I'm a Smash Bros player who used to do tourneys, and even if I was not professionally involved with the MvC games, and got into playing them very late, I can already see that MvC2 is overall a better game. Brawlers in the Smash Bros scene tend to defend their point by going "But we got more content!". Yeah, more "bad" content isn't really all that better.
For MvC3, that lame excuse is not even present. There is less content in MvC3 than in MvC2.
@Ralkila Oh, I forgot to add. For hardcore new gen Smash Bros, check out Project M. We're aiming to turn Brawl into a more melee-like game. And the mod is going well ^^.

It's Melee-like, but it's not Melee. We take Melee as a "base" then modify from there. It has improved balance, all of the characters from Brawl, some with revamped moves to get rid of gimmicks, improved low tiers form Melee, new advanced techniques, visuals cues for L-cancel, more stages than even Bawl has, fast-paced gameplay, original ideas. I think those are reasons enough to try project M. Keep an open mind, don't lick Nintendo's boots.

I am also in your situation, because when it came to fighters like SF4, MvC1&2, and Third Strike, no one could touch me in my area, but now that MvC3 is out, competition is based on who gets the first grab. It's so frustrating losing to people who use noob tactics all because they get the first hit, and use X-Factor to cheaply get a win. Using no skill whatsoever, people can beat veterans in this game and it makes me sick.

Technically, PR Rog did much, much more work with his Dante, if you actually bother watching the matches.
And it's a 3 vs 3 game. Wesker and Haggar Assist helped Viscant just as much.

i use to play competitive and be decent in my city scene you know all about SFA3/SF3rds/CVsS2/MVsC2/SSB64/SSBM.etc. and now what we have... all that time spend being good tryng to be really serious on metagaming techs executions, frame data, single,chain,string,combos, faints,resets,mixups etc. all to what dude? to receive this generation of casual-invitational shit games?SSBB??MVC3?idk about the rest but i feel offended and dissapointed

@Ralkila the genre has to adapt if its going to survive... Remember how pissed ppl were at SF3 or the EX series when they came out? SF3 was complicated and EX was noob friendly but both got lukewarm responses because Capcom tried alot of new things. Games change...when combos, frame data, etc. was always the focus, the games didn't sell well at all. The days of learning a game for months are gone and companies have to adjust...

@Ralkila Agreed. I'm a Smash Bros player who used to do tourneys, and even if I was not professionally involved with the MvC games, and got into playing them very late, I can already see that MvC2 is overall a better game. Brawlers in the Smash Bros scene tend to defend their point by going "But we got more content!". Yeah, more "bad" content isn't really all that better.
For MvC3, that lame excuse is not even present. There is less content in MvC3 than in MvC2.

@Ralkila Oh, I forgot to add. For hardcore new gen Smash Bros, check out Project M. We're aiming to turn Brawl into a more melee-like game. And the mod is going well ^^.

It's Melee-like, but it's not Melee. We take Melee as a "base" then modify from there. It has improved balance, all of the characters from Brawl, some with revamped moves to get rid of gimmicks, improved low tiers form Melee, new advanced techniques, visuals cues for L-cancel, more stages than even Bawl has, fast-paced gameplay, original ideas. I think those are reasons enough to try project M. Keep an open mind, don't lick Nintendo's boots.

@Ralkila Words cannot describe how right you are. I am also in your situation, because when it came to fighters like SF4, MvC1&2, and Third Strike, no one could touch me in my area, but now that MvC3 is out, competition is based on who gets the first grab. It's so frustrating losing to people who use noob tactics all because they get the first hit, and use X-Factor to cheaply get a win. Using no skill whatsoever, people can beat veterans in this game and it makes me sick.

i agree with the vid. but xfactor is a handicap not needed. the premise of it implys desperation and easy comebacks granted u have enough levels even if u block u take very huge damage. the damage all around needs to be toned down or this game will lose al interest with time. combos need to incorporate a roundhouse not a launcher button. not abc 123. CAPCOM hire justin wong, yipes, and sanford kelly Capcom and bring them in on how to remake the the game
