I wouldn't worry about Fireworks - they bought macromedia in 2005 and as far as I know they never did anything adverse to Flash. They've got enough going on with bastardizations of Photoshop, they probably won't also try to mesh Fireworks into it. Adobe seems to like having multiple products that do similar things by different approaches.

Hey Alan, your website has been the best free resource out there for learning about the finer details about YouTube and online video. I go to your site for the content - it doesn't matter how it looks.

Although, I have to admit, I did like old dark + orange layout a bit better. I'm also noticing the "home" button on the top bar behaves differently than the "about" and "news" buttons. There is a little indent when you are on "home" but there is no equivalent for when you are on about or news.

There actually already is a CS3 suite with Fireworks... Also PS CS3 is a good program you can use. :)

You can also buy the entire Adobe suit with all Adobe programs... It's expensive though...

You should look into GIMP.

It's a free software like photoshop, it takes a little getting used to. But it's really good considering it's free.
