  • A script right out of the offices of the WWE.

  • I believe in some of both evolution and creation don't judge for what one believes in. Don't judge all Christians for what little you know, of course there are radical Christians which is what you usually see on the news and you base your opinion on that. There is a radical for everything and we usually base our opinions on those radical individuals. I'm a Christian and I don't go out and argue over this topics. so stop judging people please? thanks i know you won't

  • At what point does this "debate" end? Christians have simply lost and they don't realize it. More money, resources, man power and everything else goes into fighting this debate ad infinitum. Imagine if all of this effort went towards our economy? What luxuries could we have if only we could spend our resources wisely? Imagine how much ignorance could be fought, how many people made literate, how much mankind could be advanced! Christians, for all of our sake, give it up!

  • @christo930

You know I'm Christian and I don't bring this topic up usually other people bring it up and im not judging anyone and I shouldn't be judged for being Christian of course i believe what i want to believe and you can believe what you wanna believe, fine by me

  • @edisonphonographfan "and you can believe what you wanna believe, fine by me"

I wasn't referring to Christianity in general, I was talking about creationism which is what the movie is about. The idea of teaching creationism or ID or the controversy or anything else is certainly NOT "believe what you want..." Christians have no right to try to force Christianity into the public school classroom.

  • @christo930

but no one idea should be favored over the other i believe either teach both creationism or evolution or dont teach it at all dont favor one idea

  • @edisonphonographfan They aren't equal ideas. One is supported by evidence from nearly every scientific field of inquiry and the other is religious. It isn't "wrong" to teach science in a science classroom. It's impossible to discuss biology without discussing evolution, it's the basis of all living things. Should holocaust deniers get to shut down history classes by "not picking sides" and just avoiding the holocaust altogether?

  • @christo930

ok so evolution is basically were beings formed by natural processes and accidents over time?

heres an example of why i don't believe all of evolution, this is about a computer chip

You know that spontaneous events formed that computer chip by electrical and mineral activity -- multiprocessing program included? It is scientific fact that the chip obviously had no designer, no plan or maker! Oh, that is explained by billions of years of processes by pressures of nature

  • @edisonphonographfan You misunderstand evolution. It's not an "accident", natural selection is the mechanism that drives evolution. There are many, many good videos on evolution for lay people on youtube. Analogies to designed things don't work because they were all designed for a purpose by us, nothing in nature is designed or has a purpose in the way we think.

  • @christo930

but I do believe organisms change over time as evolution yes

but not how things just got here naturally I don't believe all this just got here through evolution

  • @edisonphonographfan I used to think the same exact thing. The problem was my misunderstanding of evolution and my lack of knowledge of just how much overwhelming evidence points to evolution and evolution exclusively. A scientific theory is the highest status there is in science.

  • @christo930

What you fail to understand is that religion and science are two separate areas that do not overlap. We do not have to prove to the scientists that God exists

As Christians we don’t even have to acknowledge science at all. I mean really, what has it done for us? It’s caused nothing but grief, eugenics and abortion. We’d be better off living in a world without science altogether. i.e. for creationism computer chips werent formed fro natural processes so whos to say we arent natural

  • @edisonphonographfan The ignorance in that statement is astounding! Science, in a little over a century took the world from about 2 billion people to 7 billion! Science has saved far more babies that abortion took and many of those wouldn't have survived without science. Medicine, electricity, clean water, modern agriculture that feeds 7 billion people, computers, airplanes etc etc etc are all the result of science. Maybe you want to go back to living in caves, I DON'T! Try learning something.

  • @christo930

Listen im tired of listen to athiests act like they know everything man knows nothing!

look at all the suffering that has been the result of science !

theres a god out there who loves you but a lot of people are to stupid/ignorant/stubborn/and not open minded!

seriously? you tell me to try learning something? get your head out of your butt and just think about it do we always need proof that something is true/real? people depend on science and proof to much!

god bless/ imd one wit u

  • @edisonphonographfan I don't demand proof, proof is impossible. But how about some evidence?

Science and technology and the scientific method have improved the lives of people and reduced the amount of suffering. You live in a world where pregnancy is no big deal, an abscessed tooth is a trip to the dentist and surviving childhood is highy likely. Turn the clock back 100 years and women and babies die in childbirth, and people die from abscessed teeth. Try living before vaccinations/antibiotics

  • @christo930

1st u want evidence the universe it evidence!

and secondly medical science and regular science is great but military science well look were that has got us

  • @edisonphonographfan The universe is evidence that the universe exists, it certainly isn't evidence of a god. There is no such thing as military science, there is just science.

  • @christo930

wow u apparently quite dumb and im not even talking to you anymore

  • @christo930

the universe isnt evidence of god?? ARE YOU COMPLETELY INSANE!

the universe is so unnatural it could only be made by god its so complex god is the only one who could have made it

i pray for you my friend i pray

  • @edisonphonographfan Even if your logic was sound, which it isn't, why does the creator need to be supernatural, omnipotent and omniscient? You commit the fallacy of assuming a universe creator has to be a supernatural deity. Then from there, you assume that it knows we are here and cares about us and wants to be worshiped!

  • @christo930

you are quite blind in your logic im through talking to you

    god bless

  • @edisonphonographfan I guess that means you have no reply. Don't bless me, it's offensive.

  • @christo930

    GOD BLESS YOU

  • @edisonphonographfan GO FUCK YOURSELF!

  • @christo930

u know i say something nice to you and you insult me gosh you're a horrid person

  • @edisonphonographfan After I asked you not to bless me, especially in the condescending way you did it. Your blessing means nothing, never will and never did.

  • @christo930

wow people like you are ruining the world not being athiest but being a conceded peice ofcrap honestly the only person who could love you is god because i sure dont

    god bless

  • @edisonphonographfan As I already stated, had your blessing been in good nature and good will, I wouldn't have reacted the way I did. Your blessing was meant to be condescending and a wise crack. I asked you not to do it again and you deliberately repeated it, all in caps, just to be an asshole. So spare me your lectures about being a good person.

  • @christo930

You know i realized something. I was talking to you like you're an idiot.

You're definetly not an idiot probably smarter than I am.

And i would like to apologize for acting the way i did i just get so fed up and angry with athiests (because most of them on youtube are idiots and only argue with cursing and typical questions) That i dont look and see someone like you who actually has a good arguement unlike most other athiests so

Im sorry and this time i sincerely mean god bless

  • @edisonphonographfan Fair enough, good day.

  • Unfortunately, while I like this production, it still favors religion over science. While it was pleasant to hear from an actual witness, such as Eloise Reed, the fact that she is so a devout creationist, makes you question the importance of her contribution to this documentary.

  • My now deceased uncle, born in 1907, remembers seeing Bryan in the 1920s sitting in a railroad station restaurant eating a bowl of radishes...and buttering every one!

  • @Jaydublus

Thank you for sharing that story. A rare glimpse into History. I can imagine Bryan buttering every turnip.

    .

Not to be irreverent but I wonder how he would dig into a Big Mac and fries if he were alive today?

  • Bryan- a great man. Funny, a fundamentalist christian that fought for the working man, the poor and the exploited. America today, the fundamentalist christian hates working people, hates the poor and the exploited-poor Bryan, if he knew how the fundamentalist christians of America have evolved-he.. it would kill'em

  • @davesdatingtips ....? I'm a fundamentalist Christian and I don't even know what you are talking about.

  • I hwole heartedly agree also note that this trial is UnAmerican because it says in the Articles of confederation, Declaration of Independence and the Constitution separation between church and state so without a question it is pointless and because creationism is not a religion it need not be separated

  • Creationism falls under the classification of Christianity (and, if they so acknowledge it, the other monotheistic abrahamic religions).

  • allow me to correct m,yself... evolution is not a religion it is a belief sorry about that

  • @dsfho creationism is religion because its foundation is from Genesis, where as Evolution is from scientific observation.

  • @dsfho

Could you please try to make it all the way up through to the 2nd or 3rd grade grammar level before attempting to write anything else ,please?(So we don't have to try so hard to figure out what you're trying to say)

  • well, unfortunately... the issues in this trial are still debate as if we have fallen back into the dark ages.

  • Ialmost feel sorry for WJ Bryan.
