Cleared to land… means it’s SAFE and there’s also a gate to hanger your plane. I hope the Federal Aviation Administration is logical and supports H.R. 4815: Community Airport Access and Protection Act of 2010

These are decent citizens, this gentleman has been a great service to his country and now the FAA wants to rip that apart? no way FAA , it will not work.
Thank you for your concern, It's not only the FAA, but our very own city. It's like living in another country. Very sad after all these years of working towards our "American Dream" We're giving up, they are charging us so much just to use "Their" airport.
This government that is supposedly OF BY AND FOR THE PEOPLE is really beginning to run amok. Recent MBAs-with-Laptops are taking the place of experienced professionals, and the communists are trying to take over the executive branch. It's time to take back our country. This is getting ridiculous. Wake up people!
If I may ask, what do they want to happen? Do they just want you to not access the taxiway from your location? It is unclear what the issue is. There is absolutely no safety issue that I can see. You are correct about them destroying what you have, and for no good reason.
The FAA is saying these homes like ours has become and incompatible land use next to an airport. That we must discontinue this privledge when we sell the home. It will take away most of the value of our home. We have been here for fourteen years, no problems. Thanks for writing,
Beautiful Place!Too bad the Govt isn't working like its suppose to-for the people instead, its working against US and our Safety.Sport Pilot is another Prime Example-Now Actual ultralight pilots can't find planes to train in because MONEY took over the FAA's sensibilities.Safety should always come first-but not anymore-Power & Money Rule!
Another example of our omniscient government at work. What's incompatible are the policies of our leaders and the Constitution. Tell Washington to mind it's own business.
I live in Texas and don't fly a plane, although it's been a lifelong dream to learn to fly. I stand firmly behind these folks and their fight.
First they came for the Communists and I did nothing, because I was not a Communist.
Re-reading what I wrote earlier I realize I painted all the FAA folks with the same brush and wanted to correct that.
Many FAA employees are top-notch! Air Traffic controllers are consistently great and anyone I have worked with over airworthiness issues from the Flight Services District Office (FSDO) have gone out of their way to solve problems.
It's the high salary bureaucrats in Seattle and DC who know nothing about airplanes who desperately need the attitude (& altitude) adjustment!
Can you imagine the outcry if the DOT refused to let the owners of RV's and Camper Parks access Federally Funded Highways because they were an "incompatible use"? Or how would it be if Marinas were denied access to lakes formed by Federally Funded dams.
Let's take it a step further and ban access to any federally funded highway by truck stops and service stations - citing noise and pollution as the issue. And for fun, let's do it all without any legislation! That's the FAA way!
Another shining example of FAA bureaucrats abusing their power. Enacting and enforcing "policies" that have done tens of millions of dollars of economic damage across the NW - WITHOUT legislation, administrative rule, or even public input. The concept "for the people, by the people" seems lost on these "public servants" who seem more obsessed with personal power and control, than doing their job effectively. Ruining the lives of seniors!! It would be pathetic if it were not so evil!!
One set of rules for Government and one for the rest of us? The FAA District Office in Renton Washington and City of Creswell are capricious, inconsistent with its rulings, and discriminatory. Their basis of data used for determining incompatible land use is flawed. Just this year the FAA allowed Sate of Oregon to continue airport access by citizens (independence State, Aurora State). Why not at Creswell -?

I am so sorry. I think the FAA is way out of line. That home is perfect for pilot.
