I think the fact she's center stage in this performance is telling of what the powers that be think of her.

As much as I love Wicked, I just died a little inside, they females are clashing sooooo much...

To me the problem was in a "concert" or "choir" setting, you have to learn to blend and be part of a group. When all the female leads sing together they are so into the song they forget or don't consider that. Seems more like they're all trying to taking their moment, when it isn't about them specifically. Sure when they sing their actual solo parts it's okay but you have to realize it really clashes when it's sung like that. That being said...I still loved it overall!
