Here's a name for you guys... The Cramps! Before you laugh, remember that Lux and Ivy did pretty good on those sold out world tours...I should know I worked for em' back in the day. Kinda sad, Lux died recently.
You think a band name has much to do w/ a band's ultimate "success" or not? I don't think so. They never "made it" because, like lots of artistic genius, they didn't try to (if trying means selling out, cheating friends, hustling, networking, ass-kissing, etc.). Nah, VL simply made gorgeous, fiery, music of genius. And we still have it.
I'm certain that in a parallel universe Vomit Launch are enjoying the accolades deserving a truly inspired band. I'll continue to wear my VL t-shirts proudly till they fall apart.
