Frank is still the master as far as I'm concerned. There are too many shredders out there who are all technique and no feel. There are few that come close to his phrasing.

It's funny, because when "Got A Match?" first debuted in 1986, there was no guitar solo in it, and Gambale hadn't joined the band yet !

Now however, it's hard to imagine it without him, as the various live versions have surfaced and Gambale's made the piece his own...

I really like Gambale's work almost always (still like his earlier sound the most -you know, the one in the original Elektric Band, anyways).

I think people tend to dislike these sort of solos because of the the distorted shred sound. If that was an acoustic guitar it would be alot more people pleasing.
