  • AWESOME

  • Haha you get money for a video, which countains sound, which is not even yours, how is that?

  • @lmaccp I don't get money from this video. Youtube users are only allowed to generate revenue from videos they own the copyright to.

  • @SmeagolStudios I see thanks. But then why is there an ad next to your video?

Btw nice job on the animation, it's my favorite scene of Lotr :)

  • I lol'ed when I recognized the "white hand" :D

  • where do u get these animations from?

  • @MrSPACEMARINE3 ...I make them

  • OMG it´s Snape! xD

  • @trudiDumb I made the face design for Grima from scratch, though having looked up the Snape design it's a bit similar, I guess.

  • You gotta make the whole frigging trilogy man!

  • thats really epic...

  • Make the hole lord of the rings movie. That would be so awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡¡

  • that was cool

  • lol the hand of saruman in the flags is nice

  • cool. its nice cause you used count dookus head and that guy has the same actor as count dooku LOL

  • omg

  • ive always loved this scene lol great job! now i feel like watching lord of the rings lol

  • preety awesome

  • Wow! that was soooo cool! : )

  • nice:) soooooooooo .....

  • sweet!

  • I loved it in the movie where Grima Wormtongue says, "But that would take thousands!" then Saruman says "Tens of thousands." And then Grima says "But my lord, there is no such force!" and then he sees the army.

  • @Silver24Brick Yes sir. That is my favorite scene too. Wreaks of epicness, from the quotes alone!

  • omg

    m m

    gmo

  • very nice

    leave none alive!

  • did you actually build the towers, every thing else other than the tower and the caracters looks like computer animation

  • Everything in the wide shot, including the towers, is computer generated. The closeups are sort of a combination of real and cg.

  • awesome

  • wow! how did you pull that off.

it look CGI! but it's just lego stop-motion right,

  • no, there's quite a bit of CGI in it, check out the making-of link in the description.

  • That was really cool

  • this looks like special effects not animation.. good video tho

  • pretty cool animation

  • Omg that was awsome! hehe one of the best scenes in the movie..

  • lol

  • yay awesome

  • this is another master piece you have made!!!

  • u trying to steal my dream?

  • smeagol, this is another master piece you have made. Do you use only one program to make these movies? Or do you use multiple programs? anyway awesome movie. I really liked the white "hand" on the flags!

  • I use quite a few different programs, if you're interested there is a list in the FAQ on my profile.

  • hehe really nice "white hand"

  • dude thats awesome!!!! I LOVE lord of the rings!!!!

  • that waz kool hahahahahahaha. U should try n remake a battle scene like the Helms Deep Battle. That b so kool

  • damn are u pro?

  • No, though I'm interested in film as a career.

  • Whoa...

  • PERFECT!

  • that was one of the most awesome videos i have ever seen before in my life!!!!!!!!!! It looked awesome but at the same time a little wrong like in the picture but i still loved it

  • Cool video Smeagol, I love the white hand of Saruman on the flags. It's really great C.G.I. with wonderful lighting but that's also my only complaint. I just don't understand the idea of doing a brickfilm in C.G.I. I guess I'm a purist. :) Regardless though, this was very cool!

  • Thanks. I'm not a fan of entirely CG brickfilms myself, so I used as much in-camera footage in this as I could in the closeups. Unfortunately, I don't think I could have shot an army with thousands of minifigs in camera, though.

  • You're right about the difficulty of shooting a thousand minifigs but can you imagine how that would look? Part of me really wants to attempt something like that. Not necessarily an army sequence, just something massive in scope. Giant sets, the works.

  • sweet vid dude

  • hmm very nice i luved the white "hand" flags lol

  • great job

  • it looks like all of this was done by computer animation!

  • ô.O idiot?

  • Well, a lot of it was. The closeup shots are real except for the animated faces.

  • does that mean somehing in arabic or something? Im sorry, I dont now nerd.

  • What program did you use for the 3D modeling and effects??

  • Carrara Studio.

  • Nice, probably one of the best i've seen from carrara, I would have thought lightwave. Nice lego animations you have man:) Check out mine.

  • Thanks, this was made a few years ago and I think I could do better in Carrara now, it is a pretty powerful program, particularly for rendering purposes. You really should check out bricksinmotion . com if you haven't already, there is a sizeable online community of "brickfilmers" there.

  • Great. I loved the lego white hand on the Uruk's banners. That was a nice touch.

  • Very impressive, Smeagol. I can tell you spent a lot of time on this.

    -Leonardo

  • WOW! I am seriously impressed! I do clay-mation, close enough to stop-motion, got any tips?

  • Hehe, a lot of this one is computer animation as well. But feel free to check out my website (in the profile) as I have written a few guides and tutorials.

  • wow that's awesome.amazing fx!!!
