well its a year later since i last commented on the lie called obama. since then 4 million more people have lost their jobs since the community organizer took over our country. obama was not qualified to run a fast food restaurant much less a country! you can sing aimee but your political iq is very low

can we have just one musician that will stick to music and stay out of politics.. im an x-ray tech and i dont think people want to hear my political views while doing and exam on them.. why do musicians think we want to hear their political views.. please!!!shut up and sing

When the artist in question is as intelligent and observant as Aimee Mann then some of us are interested in their political views as much as their observations about other aspects of human existence.
In any case making a statement in your own blog (sorry, vlog) about how you heard the election results is a very different thing to actively forcing your opinions down people's throats.

themselves for picking one side so completely and hating the other - can't they see that fueling the division isn't the answer? Great people unite - and the liberals of America seem to be into dividing.

How can so many people be so one-sided? I'm not a Republican, I'm more of an Independant but sheez - how can so many people be so one-sided? What happens if Obama turns out to have problems? Why does everyone think they can tell the future - and have all the answers? How can they hate the Republicans so much and love the Democrats so much - the problem with America is NOT that one side is very wrong - it's the DIVISION. NEVER HAS THE DIVISION BEEN SO - COMPLETE and Americans should be ashamed of

Im also Australian, and Obama will change things he has already - attitudes. Maybe America will redeem itself in the face of the rest of the world, if anyone can help it along Obama can. Oh! and I love your music Aimee

I voted for Obama. I'm ecstatic he won. I knew the opinion of America in the world would immediately improve if he won. The only problem is I'm not expecting him to accomplish much. I think most of the next 4 years will be spent doing damage assessment and damage control. I don't think we know the full extent of the damage done to America under the Bush administration yet. I think it's going to be a VERY LONG TIME before we see any significant advancements.

Yeah, that kinda nails it. Back in maybe April or May of this year, I still did not think he would have a real chance -- and that America wasn't quite there. Over the past 3 months it's been astonishing to see that I was wrong.
It's the best time for me that I have been wrong in my life. :)

I was so upset that I was working when the results were announced. I work in *cries a little* fast food, and my phone rang and I knew the results were done;I still had an hour of work. I wanted to get done and go listen to the results. but the next crew(who is incredibly racist) came in, and said it. I was sad. I wanted to hear for myself not from rude people. I was very happy that he won though!!!! :) HAPPY!!!

Hey I'm Australian and it was still one of those special moments here. For me it was walking through the slums and seeing a black American expat come out of his commission home and yell "Yes we fucken can!" into the streets. Then I knew it was Obama that has won. Magic :)
