This actress is Rosie Holotik who is married to former Dallas Cowboys star player Charlie Waters. She was also in other Texas low budget flicks like "Don't Look In The Basement" and "Horror High".
Who HASN'T heard a "vanishing hitchhiker" story? While this movie claims they date back to the 20s, they really go back farther. There's tales in England and Europe of ghosts that will climb on the backs of horses, or beg rides on coaches, or whatever, and they go back hundreds of years. It's a tale as old as the wheel.
Its low budget and still pure genius. Think of all the high tech modern horror they make now. It is garbage and not scary at all. This is really frightening me right now.
Does anyone know which group or artist performed the piano arrangement in this part of the movie? It seems like I remember hearing the tune in the top 40 back in the summer of 1973.
Can anyone identify the piano arrangement in this part of the video? What group or artist is it? What is the name of the tune? Or are they just studio musicians? It seems like I remember hearing this tune in the top 40 or top 100 back in the summer of 1973.
Whoever did the music to this did an outstanding job! It adds so much spooky atmosphere, and in the romantic scenes even a serene, yet foreboding beauty.
Oh, man! I would've gone "south with the mouth" on her right away, without all the mushy preamble. I would've been out of my mind with lust. Those hippy-dippy chicks turn me on.
Really nice dream-like scene.
And Johnny Pearson's "Sleepy Shores" tune really fits perfectly with it.

Old post, but I reply for others wondering the same thing.
If you're referring to the tune of the couple together, that's Johnny Pearson's famous "Sleepy Shores".
