Just nearly wet myself when I found this!! Undoubtedly one of the all time classics in Hip Hop, let alone British Hip Hop. If we hadnt been cursed by Westwood in the 90's groups like Hijack, Demon Boyz, Katch22 and Blade himself would have ripped into the US market and we would still be enjoying the fruit of the looms. If anyone knows where you can mail order any old school UK Hip Hop please please please post..
if any one cares the others are Krispy 3- on tempo (94 lick), Unanimous decision - rap sings the blues, Kobalt 60 - concrete show and ....na can't pick the last!!
@mista13er Concrete Show's a BAD tune! Any idea if Kobalt 60 did anything else? Only knew about that track cos Blade bigged them up one one of his record sleeves. Also, any idea if We're Going Independent is on here? It's my personal favourite of Blade's (just ahead of this & The Coming Is Near) but I can't find it anywhere.
I gotta agree on this being the greatest UK track ever but then i start thinkin about Hijack and they got tracks and then Duke had Miracles and Overlord X 14 Days In May and Battle Creek Brawl and etc, UK Hip Hop was better back then, my opinion.
i remember Jeff Mills ( i think his name was that) made it the Hip Hop track of 1989 on Radio 1, before Pete Tong and then Westwood were on Radio 1.
Going to have to disagree with you on this.. Untitled and Battle Creek Brawl, and Hold No Hostage, Kill this track, Don't get me wrong, I have loads of respect for Blade and love his music, but he was just not up there with the above said in my opinion.
Blades best tune.

Saw the man live, twice, in Southampton - I still think he's the best UK rapper, ever.
(Yes, I know he's Armenian)
I just hope that he one day gets the recognition he thoroughly deserves, the sooner the better!!
