All-time fave for sure. There must have been certain type of magic when they did the recording in small town school house on cold winter days, spending all their time together, it resonates in every way in that album. FGA forever!
First of a Million Kisses still rates as one of my all-time fave albums. Eddi's fantastic voice, and the songwriting was spot-on throughout every song. Very underrated. I wish more people would listen to this album and appreciate the pure talent.
@clairelouise34 Me too ! It was never out of the boombox whilst I was courting my missus, not a hint of a weak song anywhere. We've been married 22 years this year, and just occasionally, we put it on.....you, know for those special occasions..
Such a great album - but this is my favourite of theirs! Such a wonderful song! The lyrics are so discriptive I can see visuals for the whole song in my mind!
A beautiful voice and a great band. All songs (except one) of fairground attraction (this too) had been written by Mark E. Nevin (the man at the guitar) who left the group very soon because of "arguments". What a pity. You must be a genius to write exceptional songs like this.
This album and this song in particular resonated with me so much when it was first released. I hadn't thought of it in years, but I realize how much it shaped how I see the world which comes out in my songwriting. Thanks for the post.
beautiful voice. used to dance round our kitchen to this album in a flat share . 6 girls . it was a tape in a ghetto blaster. till someone stole the ghetto blaster in middle of night. lol. if u think thats bad tape was from library .
