  • SOMEBODY TELL WHAT'S MUSIC IS IT???

  • In reality, Judo is a complete martial art, and more than that, a Way of Life... but those who are not Judokas or those MMA ignorant fans who probably have never fought in their lives, won't be able to understand this. Truth is the focus on Olympic Judo underrates the true values of the true martial art which is Judo, simply because it focuses on just the sport element; even some elite Judokas don't know the philosophy of their art, implemented by Jigoro Kano, and that is negative for the Art.

  • I really despise ignorant fools who argue about martial arts without knowing the true facts. BJJ comes from Judo Ne-Waza (groundwork). A Judoka taught the founder of BJJ everything he knew, and based on that he "developed" BJJ, which is nothing more than a direct focus on Judo's groundwork. Know your facts before you speak. Just because the media has spread its shitty MMA bullshit, people tend to think Judo doesn't have groundwork, because of its erratic focus on just Judo throws.

  • wow wow wow wow wow wow

  • Tomoe Nage is the best (0:35)

  • 0:35 is this cool or what.

  • 2:16 IS is one of the best throws yet on a compilation.

  • 0:33 best!!!!!

  • Quien toca esta canción? Chevere video, gracias.

  • I seriously need the name of the new Trance like track that has been added to this video, please!

  • anyone know the name of the song?

  • 0:36: Excellent, and 1:07, perfect Uchi mata!!

  • excellent, thanks for posting

  • 0:36 to 0:38 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • 36-38

  • What's the music?

  • Doing Kate Guruma and falling backwards is no ippon anymore :)

  • What?!

  • @dshojudo

Really, IJF law forbids Kata-guruma falling backwards

  • fuck bjj. They are just good at speaking,a true warrior just fights.

we can lose, but we fight not speak.

  • 0:51 - 0:53

  • 0:36...............FTW!!!! so nasty lol

  • 0:37 = total awesome

  • judo the best sports

  • Fucking hell. I respect both BJJ and Judo guys, i havn't done any form of grapling really. Which one would be best to start off with? I have done boxing and muay thai and im wondering which one would compliment me best.

  • Judo focuses on standing techniques and BJJ on groundwork. BJJ has looser rules for taking someone to the ground and includes some techniques which are illegal in judo competition. The object of a judo match is to demonstrate control. The object of BJJ is to accumulate points. Both include submitions. Judo has martial arts aspects lacking in BJJ. BJJ focuses on its fighting system. They are both excellent and many people train in both. Try both and see which you prefer.

  • I actually like Judo for its concept of knowing how to fall correctly. When you get tossed around dozens of times, you pick up how to not get slammed on your ass so badly. cross train BJJ as well and work on your conditoning. Its one of those arts where not only technique is demanded, but physical condition as well. enjoy!

  • well i bosed and a freind of mine does muy thia so you sound like you like mma? i think you should go with bjj man you'll learn way more submissions and faster. try to get a no gi class and you'll advance way faster. i did bjj but i can't afford it so i'm now doing judo. they'll both really good however bjj is more ground effecient and your stricking game's prob already sick.

  • 0:37 was beautiful!

    Great video.

  • Thanks! i respect ya´ll bjj guys

  • But i´ve fought a lot with a bjj guys and i´ve defeat a purple belts and i´m only a blue belt in judo, thn they question to me, how i did it, and i said: cause i´ve been practice more newaza, that´s it, and they dont wanna fight with me in the standing position, cause they know the results.

  • so most BJJ studios do not do a lot of practice on standup/takedowns. Most grappling starts from the knees. Judo guys would have a big advantage on thier feet I would think. Also, belt colors mean something, but not that much at times. I know guys that have purple belts from some (to coin a phrase) McDojo, and I also have seen some Gracie white belts that were extremely tough. I personally love both BJJ and judo.

    Much Respect

  • It´s good to have people like you, giving testimony

of the power of judo, the most complete grappler in the world, cause we do groundfighting (ne-waza) and standing technique (tachi waza) you, bjj guys always be better than us in the ground cause you do only ground, same like us we´are the best in standing technique cause we practice more in that position

  • an honest summary that i agree with. Both arts are the same in essence but with different focuses. Most elite judoka actually train bjj and vice versa.

  • I agree 100%. That`s why I practice both. In a few years I`ll be a grapling monster =D

  • The name of the throw is SODE TSURI KOMI GOSHI
