@SuperRenji International version is on one disc, you can switch between the anime and futuristic interface, and you can chose Japanese or English voice acting.

Normal version is on three disc, with futuristic interface and English voice acting only. That's all.

@igotTHEcookies There are some amazing American and British video game composers. Jeremy Soule works for Square Enix US; Grant Kirkhope did the music for Banjo-Kazooie; David Wise did the music for Donkey Kong Country; Tommy Tollarico has the same quality of work as Japanese composers, etc.

Truthfully, Japanese composers usually have more memorable melodies in their songs. American composers usually just go for atmospheric, easy-listening stuff. FPSs don't call for amazing scores, where RPGs do.

BIG mistake) i think it's the only rpg that kept me playing unbored besides resonance of fate...

The only "Star Ocean" Qualities in the game are the Sound effects, music and perhaps some of the move-sets and that's it. The characters are boring, and cliche as fuck, button mashing is okay but it becomes mind-numbing when your walking though a long ass dungeon and lost. But to remedy that theres FANSERVICE and butt shots. The Last hope is fun if you want a really challenging Next Gen RPG, but to me it seems like the S.O franchise when from Great to horrible! FUCK YOU SQURE YOU USED TO BECOOL!

Well my friend, opinions are opinions, but for most, and it´s cearly out there to see, FF13 is one of the most innovative ff, it is quite clearly stteping awy from the franchise´s oldest games like ffIV and so on. Sorry for the ramble but I hate when people say, this isn´t FF, this isn´t classic or nostalgic, yada yada. Games need to change and evolve and try out new formulas, that´s why none of the Snes FF´s are my faves, though I played them all, they´re just too similar.

Yeah, I was expecting it to come out on a Sony platform as well, seeing as how SO2 came out on PS1, the remakes came out on PSP, and SO3 came out on PS2, but Japanese developers seem to like the Xbox 360 for some reason. If it does come out on PS3, I'll buy it again for sure. ^__^

You should still get a PS3, if you have the money. The new Slim is only $299 now. I had a PS3 first, and I had no intentions to buy a 360 until this game came out, but I had to because I played the original Star Oceans and watched the Star Ocean EX anime. It is an underated series.
