  • The commandments are not only that men may be protected from sin and it's consequences. Remember the Transcendent Holiness of Him from Whom the Decalogue came to man.... we can hope to know God only by our obedience to Him. Because our sinfulness distances us, obscures Him from us, distracts we from Him.
