Excellent comparison. One question, was your video rendering HD or SD - and if HD, was it 720p or 1080p? I ask as my current Dual Core Intel iMac will render 720p HD video, but crashes with 1080p.

I did a geekbench test of my 2010 imac 27" core i7 bto no other upgrades and compared it to the sandy bridge geekbench results online and only the core i7 sandy bridge bto imac 27" beat it so I was pleased I brought mine when I did.my score was 9269.

@Digikid2007 RAM means very little for rendering video compared to CPU. Video rendering is really processor intensive, more RAM just means you can do more stuff at the same time it's rendering because it won't become as bogged down.

@alexey2Kde You won't be disappointed! I've had a mid-2007 20" iMac for about 3 and a half years now (with some slight memory upgrades) and it's as good as new really. No decrease in performance whatsoever :)
