@keeling02 Unfortunately, it's not possible on the NASL maps as they did not enable that feature in the map maker when they converted MLG versions of the map pool over to their NASL versions. We've tried getting them to fix it, but haven't had any luck. We've devised our own fix from week 2 and on.

Yes, the production values are the first thing I noticed about WellPlayed, and are the thing that sticks in my mind. They're the reason I still remember the name "WellPlayed" while most other things I watch I simply forget until the next commentary comes along.

I kind of like the minimalist presentation of the NASL. I don't need all the shit on the screen blocking the minimap especially. They could benefit from some better transitions in and out of games and over their between-game comments though.

For the producers- I believe the disturbing effect of the numbers is due to the repetitive pattern of the hexagons. My eyes kind of go cross eyed if I look at it too closely because of the large space being repeated, kind of like 3D eye illusions.

@mondorondo24 - All of the things I mentioned (titles, graphics, etc) are simply templates onto which data (names, scores, dates, stats etc) is plugged into.

Simply hiring better talent and having them take care of the NASL presentation will go such a long way. The same argument can be applied to website design or daily TV shows (which NASL is). Time isn't the factor, having a good visual designer is.

Now, clip shows like these obviously take more time, but that's why they aren't daily. :)

@Ruscull - Hi. It is about the visual design of NASL that needs improving. That is something that WP does very well, and if their talent was plugged into the NASL format then it would be great.

It has very little to do with the effort going into broadcasts, which are just observer cams (perhaps with overlays like WP made for IPL) and a shot of the casters in between games.

Running time isn't as big a factor when we are talking mostly about titles and graphics with names and stats plugged in

@Ruscull - If you think about it, the amount of effort that WP would put into a single NASL show wouldn't be as much as this once everything was settled upon. The work going into making title cards, backgrounds, any other work, is amortized over the season since nearly everything is then reused. Most of the work is at the start, the rest is more or less plug & play with casters and an observer cam. :)

A clip show like this though is much more effort since it involves lots of sorting and editing
