Whenever the subjects on Grand Designs run into "difficulties" they nearly always allude to "borrowing" a few hundred thousand pounds from the bank of mummy and daddy. It always makes me wonder whether this ever registers with the majority of the viewing audience. Perhaps it goes some way to explaining why, in 2012, the UK has an aristocratic Prime Minister and half the cabinet have been to Eton.
@chrismanmk I'd love to see a VTOL passenger aircraft. The size of the engines to get it off the ground without lift from the wings would have to be massive. XD
Why not just buy another cello each, and leave them in Sweden? They may have to pay storage fees but it should work out a lot cheaper in the long run as they won't have to pay extra luggage charges.
@fleabag500 Sweden's really nice but as anyplace it depends where you go. If you don't like big landscapes and lots of travel then don't go to sweden... Cool name thought Sweeeeden sweee
Classic! This kinda reminds me of all these pompous twats on home improvement/relocation shows. "Yes,our budget only stretches to £25 million and that doesn't buy an awful lot these-days does it?" "We had a look at Edinburgh Castle but the kitchen needed an awful lot of work didn't it Jasper?" "We've decided to simply sell-up and move to the South of France where I believe they're throwing in a vineyard...oh and a rustic barn...That's what sold it really?"
What are you talking about? For me Sweden's always been this kind of promised land that one day I'll be able to escape to. Have I been misinformed? Has my dream been based on lies? D: Tell me it's not so!!
@fleabag500 I can honestly say Sweden's the best place I've ever lived in... Granted, it's the only place I've ever lived in, but still.
Biggest problem aside from the weather is that the Swedish TV-shows suck, though, which is why I'm watching British comedy on YouTube. Aside from that, it's lovely.
i miss playing the cello :'( if i had the money I'd buy one but they're so expensive. I also woulkd love to live in sweden but learning swedish is...nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
you never have to learn it. 95% of Sweden speak English and 30% of them pretty much speaks it fluently with not so much accent. only people over the age of 80 or under 10 might have difficulty communicating with you
btw the statistics where pulled out of my ass, but they are still good =)
gradgurl2007 ... thanks for message .... that's interesting (lucky Rob!) ...... it's not too much of a sketch idea but they get a lot out of it. M&W getting better and better imo.
I wonder if they are in comedy mode at home ..... seems to come easily to them here?

@CultureShockSix Ok .... how about an ICBM silo .....?? They talked about going down.
An "I see you have changed architects???" Grand Design cliche situation?
