I just got into bass. Started when i 'filled in a blank' when our bassist we're not around. I play the guitar and drums, which are both great but i found another unique feel in bass. Loving it!! Loads of new things to learn and master but its fun. Thanks for the videos

First off ignore elitist comments like MJkate and those fools who gave you a thumbs down. We will kick their asses when we find them outside their area of expertise!

Secondly, get the "Power Tab Editor" and try to transcribe yourself. It's easy- you enter the tab and see the note. The program will "play" it so you can see if you did it right. It's nice practice and you learn to read notes too.

You should know how tabs work. But the only way to play what's in your heart, is to play by ear and not be dictated by your fingers or what's on a peace of paper. This is a perfect opportunity to learn your first song by ear ;).

Sometimes I need tab hints here and there for my inexperience in bass and guitar, but its the ear that gets the joy out of all of it.
