  • Vito=guitar God

  • I think it's nice how Mike and James disappeared for part of the guitar solo so Vito could have the spotlight.

Oooooh, huge fire near heavily hairsprayed hair. NOT a good idea....>:)

  • hope that good old time come again

  • After hearing a solo like that, anyone back in the 80's would have thought he was the next Van Halen. This man was immensely talented. It's a shame he went into obscurity!

  • Viota Bratta is Latin for "this is God".

  • @drkats God never gave up!!!!!!!

  • #199(Tie)

  • this band was ahead of their time and i can and will thank vito for his contribution to my endeavour as a musician and fan. didnt hurt knowing lynch structures so i had a foot in the door. any white lion is as good if not better than 80% of current "MUSAC" dont make me puke w dubstep

  • @moused1111 That's YOUR opinion

  • Girly rock

  • @GanaLaMana whats bieber then?

  • @toejam498 I don't give a fuck about Bieber. I'm tired of people putting him down. He's just a kid that sings. There's nothing offensive about that, and it has no effect on me.

Also, I like this song. But it is what it is....

  • @GanaLaMana nothin offensive? it's just girly rock dats all

  • @toejam498 O ok...Well I assumed you were one of those guys who talks shit about him, so my bad.

  • Incredibly tasty guitar, no doubt! All the little frills and fills fit the song perfectly. Vito Bratta is definetly a step above most other players.

  • I've always had my own path and maaan these guys did! Thanks Boys

  • i have to correct a statement, lion and GnR came out "roughly" the same time. but really doesnt matter. GnR SENT THESE CHICKS PACKIN.!

  • @TheYing0812

It was all good music , they were both good. u have your opinion and that`s fine. But no need to criticize and hate so much. there`s enough hate going on in this world.

  • @ronjerame your right, im done hatin.

  • @TheYing0812 g n r had no message, the world is full of mindless drones, is that your message? follow image, follow bands that exploit women, because you can spell a few words doesnt mean you have something to say.

  • is there anyone out here that understands what i mean by pretty boy hairbands?! white lion was pretty, winger was pretty, enuff znuff was pretty, poison was pretty, guns and roses was NOT PRETTY!!

  • @TheYing0812

But those other bands u mentioned kicked ass and they were talented. Vey talented guitar players pretty or not. U just have an issue with hairbands that used alot of hairspray , so what . lol.

  • @TheYing0812 I think Winger was more badass than they're given credit for. Check out their Demo Anthology CD if you get a chance. Written in the Wind is one of my favs.

  • thats it, im done! unless one of you yungsters try to tell me how it was back in the day, im not getting my info from sirius or corparate radio stations that play the same rotation of songs over and over. ive got my info from living and being there at that time. but i am glad you like rock n roll and not the crap thats playin today, im more than willing to give you all credit for that! thanks for the fun guys i hold no hard feelings. ill understand if you still think im an a**hole.

  • motley crue could be considered hair, but they had ass kickin attitude and music, thats why they stayed at the top for so long. but bands like white lion, winger, enuff znuff, and so on, faded from this scene the fastest. its to easy to spot the "pretenders". all you gotta do is watch their videos and see how "pretty" the band acts. especially the lead singers. remember just cuz a band has hair dont mean their a hair band. if that was the case you wuld have to include Zep, floyd, hell, everyone.

  • ask anyone close to my age of 42 who kicked ass and took names and who was playing ballerina back in the day, if they dont know its cuz their head is up their a**. i never bought into the pretty boy hair band fad, but some of my buddies did, they aint too keen on admitting it. but i wasnt too hard them when it was all over. believe it or not there was a very fine line in all of this. to you and sirius radio they were all hair bands, but there was a difference. ass kickin differences!

  • hair short...long.. I want to start hearing good music again.

lady gaga and katy perry just don't cut it for me. brittney WHO?

justin b WHO? don't waste my time or money on those untalented [ @$%^&*].

  • Long Live the Rainbow Warrior!

  • although, i think GnR went to crap when use your illusion came out. bought it and couldnt even get through the whole thing without cryin about how much money i just wasted. way over produced and blown out of proportion. but what do i know, im uneducated...sigh

  • For anyone else who feels like bitching about their hair and how they might look like women

These guys were born in a time when people actually had respect for one another and did more than sit on their asses all day. Their music actually had messages. The 80's will NEVER die!

  • @MrBigDSixx who are these people you speak of that had respect for one another? if everyone sits on their asses all day how come this country hasnt shut down? messsages? what kind of messages? you mean to tell me that white lion is the only band that had a message? cmon, really? never die? you still got a mullet dont you?

  • i know this cause im an "expert"

  • her dancin kinda resembles billy squire's famous career ending moves. just an observation. now get back to the kitchen woman!

  • little fwhyighter, kinda sounds like a duck, or elmer fudd, or both. i dont know, just an observation. she kinda looks like she had a binky for too long also. how bout that fer some throwin up? snicker...

  • VIIITO BRATTAAAAHH!!!

  • God i miss 80's metal, so glad i was a teenager during this time

  • Vito Vito Vito!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!!!

  • if Vito put out a solo album I'd buy it

  • Damn, Vito! Amazing!!!

  • dang she's hot!.....uhhh wait a min...

  • Vito Bratta one of the most underated guitarist of the 80's.

  • Vito Bratta is easily one of the top 5 guitarists from the 80's.

  • Vito you make the guitar sing beutifull ballads. <3

  • she is an eddie van halen wannabe, and eddie is a wannabe!

  • One of the most creative six stringers in rock. Wish he picked up the guitar again.

  • I am timid and coward but now only me I am fighting with my heart,so I am a little fighter who is powerless,so wannna give me a power,I am Japanese but I never see you foreign people,OK? I am Jap but not ordinary Jap,Thanks EVERYDAY! To followers of the WORLD!

  • im from the 80's, this kind of crap should continue to stay right where its at, back in the 80's. sucked then and still sucks now.

  • @TheYing0812

    save the whales

    MOFO

  • Comment removed

  • @TheYing0812 you're from the 80's, you're a kind of crap that should continue to stay right where it's at, you suck then and suck now.

  • @Isjix i got sumpin those chicks singin this song can suk

  • @TheYing0812 I got something you can choke on

  • @Isjix i doubt someone that listens to these drag queens is gonna make anyone choke

  • @TheYing0812 you wouldn't believe it.. if you don't like it then why are you coming here to throwup all over it?

  • @Isjix watta ya got, a tampon?

  • @TheYing0812 lol i think you need to get your eyes checked out you cant seem to tell who is male and female

  • Man, you just dont see solos like this anymore. Vito was a master and makes the rest of us look like mere mortals.

  • No, I never needed to question the matter of talent...their attire is another thing entirely.

  • not enough words, vito bratta you're so awesome!!!

  • I wonder what he thinks when he opens the closet and sees that outfit hanging in there.

  • its time for the 80s to rise again :)

  • Definatley!!!

  • this song was written about the greenpeace ship that sank in 1985

  • @peugeotrider2016 It is actually about the Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior which was sunk with a bomb by the Israeli Mousad... It shows these guys were aware of the world around... It is a great song... the solo is amazing, and the syncopated rhythm really is amazing... I remember getting a steinberger with trans trem, and being so excited that I could lock it in F and play with the CD... great guitarist... Vito Bratta amazes...

  • @lydian77 Nice comment, but just to inform you it was actually French secret agents who bombed the ship while it was in Aukland Harbor on 10th July 1985.

  • @lydian77 what?!! these lesbos werent aware of nuttin but hairspray prices! they were put together like a walmart package, you know, n'sync, backstreet girls. at that time record companies were polluting mtv with freakin hairbands that sang about girls and partying.they just tried a diff angle. rec label went shoppin 4 decent guitarist, pretty singer, then the rest, put im all together and there you have some of the worse crap thats ever come out

  • @TheYing0812 I find it ironic you're coming here to crap all over it since you hate it

    you troll :D

  • @Isjix if i can help just one person realize how freakin stupid these hair bands were, it will be all worth it. maybe, just maybe someone will come to their senses and say hey, he's right! im not givin up, i guess you could call me the little fighter, no pun intended. repent! all you old dudes that still got whats left of your long hair! its not too late! its ok! you can still change! wake up! cut that hair! no one will ever know you liked lipstick bands. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

  • @TheYing0812 don't say anything about this band.no one can play like Vitto bratta.and for ur kind information they are not hair metal bands.don't giv a fuck about there hairs or else u'll be curse.

  • @sauraj999 if they are not a hair band than what the heck is all that stringy stuff hangin off their heads, when you wear yellow tights and prance around like a fairy in a forest, YOUR A FREAKIN HAIR BAND!!! the reason you dont see vitto anymore is cuz he's in hiding, FROM SHAME! SHAME I TELL YOU! remember, im the "expert"

  • @TheYing0812 I'm turning 15 in april. seriously, lol.

  • @Isjix son, dont start your foot off in the wrong place, please redirect your focus on music that matters, anything from 60's or 70's is better than this, heck even disco is better! there is a reason you dont hear this crap on the radio, including classic rock stations. it's embarrasing!!!

  • @TheYing0812 like you're gonna change my opinion? 60's, 70's and 80's is one of my favorite genres and there's nothing interesting about disco. I've heard white lion on the radio before. why are you bashing other people's thoughts about music? atleast I'm not the one going on nicki minaj's videos and urinating everywhere

  • @TheYing0812 i hear it on the radio all the time....and it controlled radio for about 10-15 years, i respect your opinion (you don't have to like it) but hair metal was more popular than most music was, also there are upcoming bands nowadays imitating these bands. Another thing is that hair metal had a ton of great musicians- vito bratta, george lynch, billy sheehan, tommy lee, many singers and many more other musicians. You don't like it, but it is good music and takes talent.

  • @westjt17 the radio you hear them on must still use vinyl, you know, records. i bet ricky martin is just startin to get popular in your neck of the woods.

  • @TheYing0812 i didn't mean this song in particular, but GnR, poison, motley crue, van halen, winger, ratt, slaughter and others still do get anywhere from 1 to 5 of there songs on the radio quite frequently on multiple stations.....your not really making any educated points in any of your arguments, if your gonna have fun with your comments at least be educated so that when you get called out you can back up what your saying

  • @westjt17 and i suppose you have all that info documented, and just why should i believe that your educated points are right? your just sittin behind a screen just like everyone else. call me out on what? thats what i mean, by havin fun and rippin on the bands that i dont like, i dont expect or care if anyone takes me seriously, im no expert, and neither are you. sound educated? no? la dee freakin da! by the way GnR was not a hair band, they are the reason hair bands are GONE! THEY KICKED ASS!

  • @TheYing0812 what i mean is: you are leaving comment after comment, each one more pointless than the previous. No i'm not an expert, but i do have a lot of music knowledge. You not liking a band doesn't really matter to anyone other than you, if gnr wasnt a hair band then how come in their early days they had huge hair and wore make-up?? they didnt get rid of anyone, people got sick of glam bands making music that only the record company wanted made, they stopped doin what got them famous

  • @westjt17 now i know your clueless, watch the documentarys on vh1 or vh1 classics. nikki sixx said himself if someone doesnt come up with sumpin new its gonna be over. GnR grabbed everyone by the throat with appetite 4 destruction and that was the end of pretty boys prancin like fairy's! just how old are you? im 42, when all this went down i was prime age for it, people got sick of pretty boy hair bands period! all bands had hair.

  • @westjt17 most bands had hair, but these guys were a hair band, i witnessed the fallout firsthand, they were all dropped like a used rubber. three bands sealed the fate of hair fairies, pearl jam, nirvana, and GnR. i remember when it was all over when warrant tried to get serious with uncle tom's cabin and all my buddies who USED to like hair bands said WTF!? and then it was all over....

  • on a serious note, watch any show that talks bout hair bands back in the day, they even make fun of themselves. record companies feed wat kids want to hear by amount of sales, none of us wanted to hear it anymore!

  • @TheYing0812 your exactly right about the record company thing, too many bands sounded exactly the same, but it's funny, i know a lot of kids about my age that really like hair metal and want music to sound like this again....also heard a lot of young bands that sound a little like this

  • @westjt17 You're absolutely right. People are wanting more music to sound like this.

  • @TheYing0812

GNR was a hairband and there not the reason hairbands are gone.

  • @ronjerame let me explain a hair band to you. first off, ALL bands had hair.if you were considered a hair band its because the hair and how pretty they looked was as important as the music if not more important. look at this video then watch welcome to jungle, THEN TELL ME WHO IS TRYIN TO ACT PRETTY! axle rose or slash do not act "pretty". i dont know your age but believe me when GnR came out, that was the last of "pretty boy" hair bands.

  • @TheYing0812

No need to explain to me what a hairband is. I`m almost as old as you and come from the same generation. GNR had big hair and were a hairband. I happpened to like alot of the hairbands and alot of there stuff kicked ass. You have issues with bands that had big hair. That`s your problem. White lion had soMe kickass tUnes and Vitto was a kickass Guitarist.

  • @ronjerame no i have issues with bands that made their hair pretty, and sashayed with the "pretty" hair. axle had wild hair and slash wore a freakin hat, and neither one of them pranced around like this singer does. vitto was good as a guitarist, but you gotta admit, when white lion came out it was just another hair band with the same kind of video as a bon jovi video. but GnR BLEW THE ENTIRE SCENE APART!! look how many copies of appettite have been sold. they were a game changer.

  • @TheYing0812

Grunge killed that scene not GNR.

  • @ronjerame and, GnR came after white lion. if GnR was a hair band like lion explain how come they were kickin ass long after lion was done. lion was a flash in the pan. im not askin how old you are, but i suspect you idolized lion the same way a 13 yr old idolizes beiber, and a 18 yr old hates him. dont get me wrong though, i dont think you like beiber im just tryin to use an example. i just dont like bands that foces on being "pretty". axle culd be an ass. but he didnt try to be pretty.

  • @TheYing0812

I was into white lion because of the guitarwork. Say what u will, u just didn`t like the image. they were all good , including the singer. Were does beiber fit into all of this, he don`t play guitar, lol. My piont is u can cut them down all u want because u don`t like hairspray prettyboy image. They were still talented and I still like there music. Brings back alot of good memories for me.

  • @TheYing0812

I hear this stuff on sirius radio all the time. HairNation and the Boneyard. Good stuff. Very talented musicians, Vitto was a great guitar player.

  • @ronjerame let me guess, HairNation plays GnR so you think they were a hair band, WRONG! they added GnR cuz they need the material. even at their peak most of the white lion concert shirts were worn by chix. after GnR you would get yo ass kicked if you wre seen wearin a sissy white lion shirt. it was all about attitude and ass kickin with GnR. watch this guy sing and its all about "look at me and my hair sashay across the stage". dont get "hair metal" and "kick ass rock n roll" mixed up!

  • @TheYing0812

I don`t think they were a hairband, I know they were. They had big hair.

  • @TheYing0812 LMFAO what do you like rap? hip hop? pop rock? the shit put out on the radio today is made by a bunch of crack heads that dont know a shitting thing about life. (reason for your shit views on good music) go bitch about something real like how many times Shit artists like Lil wayne have been arrested or maybe who thy plan on gang banging next.

  • @MrBigDSixx what the hell gave you the idea i listen to lil wayne? have you not read wat ive been posting? and another thing, why am i not allowed to voice my opinion good or bad? im just tryin to have a little fun! you gettin all worked up over a hasbeen hairband! this band was just another walmart package mass produced fling it out there see what happens peice of crap, just like they do today.and you bought it!

  • @Isjix im not a troll. its fun.

  • @TheYing0812 surebro

  • @Isjix if i didnt know any better id say you were tryin to hurt my feelings, no?

  • @TheYing0812 nah

  • I've always thought this was one of the best, most melodic guitar solos of any rock song. The way it's constructed- it just flows together perfectly. I agree with many people here: Vito Bratta was seriously underrated and he had a great knack for creating interesting guitar parts and cool licks in virtually all their songs.

  • This song will always be the best 80s ballad of the 80s

  • awsome tune

  • Oh God..Give me back the 80's ! White Lion so under-rated ..Imo...same level if not better than Bon Jovi of the time.Vito Bratta ...some said he was Eddie Van Halens alter ego !...

  • vito bratta, so under-rated, never got the respect he deserved. much like jake e. lee didn't either.

  • this guys were amazing, and far more talented than most of there era

  • Oh my god, the colors... I totally forgot about this video.

  • Saw these guys in the eighties. Awesome!

  • when im fuckin down.. i run & play this song.. reminds me who iam..

  • interesting thing to know about this song. it was dedicated to Greenpeace before that organization became a rotten joke like PETA!!

  • Vito Bratta is awesome~~~~~~~~

  • Vito just has a great sense of melody. I love his note choices when he solos.

  • this song could mean alot of things to alot of different people...take it easy..lburn one and chill

  • vito freekin rocks this one out of the park

  • Hey guys, I just found out who this song was written for, my uncle, a cancer patient who died at the age of twelve. My mom wrote these guys and they went and spent a day with him then wrote this song for him. Christopher Shaw.

  • @merlehaggardandgluef prove it, pretzel boy.

  • @SuperGaleford Okay, for one thing I have to respect you for saying that. For another, believe whatever the hell you want to, don't believe me, doesn't make a difference to me, and for just one last thing, I don't like pretzels. My coach said they're not good for me.

  • @merlehaggardandgluef I do believe whatever the hell I want to...e.g. your coach lied to you. Rolled Gold Pretzels are the BEST! They're good and good for you!

  • @SuperGaleford no there not.

  • @42lynchmob are you telling me commercials LIED to me?

  • @SuperGaleford IF you have to ask me that about a commercial, then you would believe anything. lol

  • @merlehaggardandgluef Little Fighter was written after a greenpeace ship. Where did you get this from?

  • @Isjix YOUR RIGHT DUDE.

  • Come on Vito, pick up the axe again man.

  • my dad said this song reminds him of me

  • VITTO IS CRIMINALLY UNSUNG & UNDERRATED!!!

  • @sweenykim

Sucks, doesn't it? White Lion just came out at the wrong time, and they had a look that people could make fun of (at least now, anyway). Vito is one of my favorite guitarists, though.

  • this a tremenda cancion i was 14 when this song was played on radios here in Peru thanks for this 80's classic¡

  • this song was named after a greenpeace ship.

  • VITO BRATTA = GOD

EDDY VAN HALEN = JESUS CHRIST

    ANGUS YOUNG = SAINT PETER

    C C DEVILLE = MOSES

  • @Righter99 I don't know about Angus and CC... but Vito and Eddie are definately up there :)

  • @Righter99 if your list doesn't include Warren DeMartini, then your list is invalid! ; )

  • to pat Tillman and his family espcially his mother.... it was rotton what the us army did to that family.... makes me sad to of served as a marine sniper for 5 of the 8 years that i did..... rise again pat.... Nicholas Roman sacramento california...0311-8541 scout sniper.....

  • Very underrated song.

  • Guy plays bit like Eddie van Halen...

  • I saw Whitelion with Cinderella and Tesla, 1986.

  • awesome VITO BRATTA on GUITAR awesome

  • Comment removed

  • Inspired me!

  • Obviously, the songs that White Lion wrote were pretty gay, but Vito Brata's guitar playing is very tasty nonetheless - very melodic with excellent phrasing and timing! I actually enjoyed this band the brief time they lasted.

  • I always liked the guitarist, you'd think that he'd have a big bright career ahead of him but obviously not.

  • @spyretto His father got really ill and he had to stop playing in bands and on tour. He still plays apparently, but not live with anyone.

  • @spyretto I think Vito himself had hand/medical illness or injury, and yes, he is underated!

  • Great song, great album, great band, great time in my life. Vito was an amazing guitarist and was soooo overlooked.

  • Now a day's i think some don't appreciate this music but then' hey you should not be in music if you can't appreciate this!!!

  • man kids now days lol, they dont know good tunes when thry hear em

  • @tits569 you suck like no ones business. If you don't like it, why bother clicking it anyway.

  • That Steinberger looks like a child's toy in Vito's hands and I'll tell you why: Vito's a tall dude, over six feet, and the fact that Steinberger's have no headstock, so there you go. Vito may be out of the music business, but his legacy will never die! \m/

  • This music will come back, y? Cause it's fukin awesome thats why. Rock on believers, keep the faith.

  • Vito Brata excellent!

  • Great band!but there's only (ONE) VAN HALEN!!!!EDDIE IS KING!!!!!!!!!

  • @cbyss1 What does that have to do with anything ? Their 2 different guitarists, Vito worships Eddie anyway

  • I don't think the 80's were that strange at all. I liked the long hair, makeup and spandex. They had the talent to back it up. Back then to be a guitar player you really had to step it up or you were just shit out of luck. Guitar solos were the norm in every song that hit the radio waves. The talent musicians had in the 80's compared to the talent in todays musicians was undoubtedly much greater. Everything runs in cycles so have no doubt that talent will be back again someday but not tomorrow.

  • @greggyk1 i hope it comes back too, im 18 and i hear from a lot people my age that they like that music and want to bring it back, im trying to star a band to bring some of it back!!!!

  • @westjt17 It takes alot of hard work and dedication but never forget that it's supposed to be fun. Inspiration will come to you when your relaxed and having a good time so surround yourself by whatever helps you to accomplish this.

  • one word!!!! CLASSIC!!!!!!!!

  • Righteous solo

  • i need some pants like the singer has on. those are bad ass!!

  • White lion and Bon jovi were and still the best band of all time

  • this is one of white lions best songs, love mike tramps colorful outfits, they look sexy on him,a little older, but still looks the same,he really is a great singer,i grew up listening to this music, just love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the most underrated guitar players EVER. And Kip Winger...

  • @drewsroo I agree with White Lions guitar player, he was very good, but almost unknown, my favorite was Hungry White Lion did. Sounded great in that song.

  • @MegaDude1969 I should have said Reb Beach. Winger's lead guitarist. My bad. Another underrated player.

  • @MegaDude1969 His name is Vito Bratta, great player

  • For our little "Rex" hang it little one....

  • Dont like the political meaning behind this song but its such a kick ass song I will let it pass. 80's please come back! we are now swimming in a sea of no talent ass clowns.
