The biggest group of boxing fans in america are over 30 years old and have been alive long enough to know what good heavyweight fights look like. The K's are both good fighters but there is no real competition out there and it makes for bad fights. The biggest group of boxing fans in america are over 30 years old and have been alive long enough to know what good heavyweight fights look like. The K's are both good fighters but there is no real competition out there and it makes for bad fights. Sure if they were from the USA they would be more visible media wise but not like it was when the HW division of yesterday when it was strong. Plus, nowadays we have a liberal media that wont credit any white boxer no matter what his record is.

They have almost identical records and Morrison fought better people. I don't know of any decent Black Heavy weights in the US at the moment ... Without even thinking I would say the best WHite American boxer is currently Kelly Pavlik (a few years ago their was that guy Ward). Boxing is not all that popular among white americans ... the argument is most go to MMA (and their are quite a few top notch white MMA fighters - although i much prefer boxing over MMA). As far as historically - it does not really make sense to say white americans throughout history. I am not a resident of the US ... but was born their and am of polish decent.

I will say that Marciano is in my opinion one of the greatest heavyweights ever, I got to disagree with you on placing him as the greatest. I believe it's between Ali and Joe Louis as to who is the greatest heavyweight. Though Marciano did beat an aged Louis, no heavyweight has dominated the that division like Louis. Joe Lewis was a healthy 36 years old when Rocky Knocked him out. Joe was a great fighter but he did get KO'd twice and lost another by points that is three loses one being early in his career. Rocky stood in front of everyone and dismantled them and NEVER LOST. There can't even be an argument. As for Obama I'm affraid of whats going to happen with him as he has no morals! Joe Luis was 37 and still Koing people, Ezzard Charles was 33 and the ROCK was 31?? Roland LaStarza who was one of the best was only 26. You balieve what you want he was the best and still is. Uhm ... how about Manny Pacquiao (assuming we are not only talking the heavy weight division because you mentioned Colzaghe - light heavy weight). Pacquiao won his first Title in the 112 division and has increased 6 times now(112, 122, 126, 130, 135, 140). He is now taking on welterweights with his own weight as a lightweight ... because their is no one in his own division close to his level. So a 135lb guy taking on guys in the 150 weight class that probably weigh 160 - 170 on fight day.

I wouldn't say awesome. Better than the mass that's out there now, but not awesome. Wlad bores us to death every time we watch him and Vitaly caught Lewis on the down slope and that's his best showing to date. Agreed that both those guys are the best today, but notice how neither really shined until the last gen of heavyweights retired? That's because they just couldn't hang. Wlad was getting knocked out by sub standard heavies and Vitaly just couldn't hang with the big dogs till Lewis' end.
