I couldn't beat him on the 1st try. I am leveling up at the moment trying to get all augments and teckniks. Does anyone know wich weapons, accessories and armour i'll need and what level do i need to be at?
dude tis boss was so dang easy i used 2 ark blast chain abilities and he parished tis was the second easiest boss i faced rafflesia killer is alot harder then tis dragon
Actually it was stubborness or determination or something along the line. with my characters at that level the battle took like an hour and 10 mins. I had no life that day lol
I got stuck here for ages but that was mainly because I had 3 potions, 1 Hi potion, no teleport stones, no phoenix downs... So you can see it was hard. I felt like having a party when I finally beat him.
ya im kinda like you but i dont have the same levels but i have penelos and ashes all three quickinings also 2 for vaan 1 for baltheir and 2 for bashe and i still cant beat him oh and jackboots don't do anything either
1) Berserk him, using Bacchus' Wine, so he cannot use Aero or Disablega.
2) Do you not have decoy? If you do, then use it on your leader while you are far away from Tiamat, and then run around the arena, with Tiamat trying to attack you while your other party members are attacking Tiamat.
I always get tiamat at Hp critical status by that time most of my party is dead but think level 30 is what u need 2 be and i also keep diying too so no hard feelings
Dude i have the same problem too but my only problem is Vaan is lvl 17 Basch is 17 Asche is 18 Balthier and Fran are 13 Penelo is 11 lol I get him to ur same hp but only because i got the death bringer i think you would beat him if you got the death bringer too its 90 Attack does 1000-1300 dmg but on tiamat the most ive done with it is 1000
You should really level up. Your not really doing good by the look of things. I'm only in King Raithwalls tomb and i'm on level 25 with all my charcters.
Same here. Gtfo if you don't know what's going on. This is a speed run. Not a regular game faggot. Btw, there's ppl who can beat every single boss in this game with levels 122333 on there characters. I'm doing this now. If you want a challenge you should do the same thing.
you have to level up or you've got no hope. the golmore jungle is a great place to level up, since the monsters are not too hard to kill.i beat him with vaan at lvl.26 balthier lvl.25 ashe lvl.23 basch lv.23 fran lvl.23 and penelo lvl.21 so start gettin your levels up, also keep larsa alive, he heals you
OMFG!!!! SO close! Were you out of phoenix downs there? Seemed like you were really scraping the bottom of the barrel (kinda the point of the speed run I guess, but still).

This battle can be made easier by:
1. Making sure everyone has a shield(and gauntlets if u have them)l. To raise the chance to block his attacks.
2. Using Charge to keep your MP reserves high.
3. Not letting Larsa die or get disabled-even though its cheap Larsa's unlimited hi/x-potions make him an invaluable player in this battle.
4. Use any quickening chains or espers (if you get lucky you can use Charge to max out your MP and keep using quickenings and espers.)

level up before i hand,i knew the mines where going to be difficult-ish so i got everyone level 3 quickenings and up to lvl 25 before hand...

Here are some suggestions...

OMG!!!! I did that and msot my characters are under 20 and i used a lvl 22 20 and 19 to kill it.
I sjut cant kill the necxt boss.
Oh and a hint try adn get deathbringer if u dotn knwo hwo look on google its a good wepon.
