We love this movie! Our VCR just at our old tape, and I'm on a search for it on DVD. Thank you for posting this! It might keep the kids at bay until we can get a new copy, ha ha! AWESOME movie!
they left the city because there daughter was very sick girl thats when the father said lets get out of here they don't show that part i don't know why but its a great movie
I remember going to the drive in to see this when I was little. We popped our own popcorn at home because we were so f#&ing poor to buy it at the concession stand :(
Wow, a mountain lake in the Rockie's, even in the summer would be freezing, and he just threw his kid in it. I thought they were moving for the girl's health. I guess the figured the boy was expendable.
Omg, i can't believe these are up on Youtube. I only have the videos on VHS and now we don't have VCRs anymore (our last one broke). I loved this movie when i was a kid :) I used to watch both 1 and 2 all the time :)
I used to love this film when I was a kid, now 25 years later watching it as an adult I can't get over how irresponsible these silly hippy parents were. Move your kids to live in a shack in the forest to get mauled by wild animals and develop all the social skills of Jodie Foster's Nell! All because the city they lived in had smog! What not do what everyone else does and get a ventolin inhaler and bitch on about global warming to all who will listen!!
Oh how I dearly LOVED these movies!!! I have never seen them out on dvd. That was my dream to live like they did......maybe someday...= ) Thanks so much for posting!!!
WOOOOOOO!!!! I ended up watching this random movie up at a ski lodge. It was part 2. But we laughed our asses off... The best part of the movie is muting it..., dubbing your own voices!!!
I'm looking for a documentary that ran on PBS about 10 years or so ago about an actual family that was living in the wilderness. They lived primarily on moose meat and the wife made moose pizza and moose enchiladas just to mix things up a bit. They eventually contemplated moving back to the city just so the children could have normal interaction with other kids. Can anyone help me find this footage?
they actually moved to the wilderness because their daughter had asthma and her breathing was affected by the smog of the city... :) this is a wonderful memory from my childhood. Thank you fpr posting this! :)
I saw this movie when it first came out in the theatre in 1975. I was like 10 years old then. Brings back some incredible childhood memories! Thanks a million for uploading it here!
@jujubegold Yes indeed, tons of memories as we have both said. I also actually had sort of a crush on Holly Holmes, who palyed Jenny the daughter. She was very pretty!
i watched this as a kid and was mad when the kids school work was brought to them on the plane, living out there seemed really cool until that part!!!
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. Very difficult to get on DVD and I was dying to see it again. The music is so catchy!! I love this film. Thank you.
I loved this movie as a child. Can't believe I was nine when this came out! Seems a little TOO idyllic but it's still sweet. It sure was nice to think you really could leave it all behind and go rough it out in the wilderness. Don't know many who would try it nowadays though...takes a tough breed of human to live without the modern luxuries we take for granted.
I can't seem to add this movie to my playlist More Great Movies without getting the intire movie and I'm way beyound upset that I didn't get the whole thing. SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING, I'M SO FREAKING OUTABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please Please Please load the last parts. My family and I all sat down to watch and were so disappointed when it ended at part 3. I also loved the "Sea Gypsies" as a kid. I want my family to see these movies somehow. Such good family fun!
One part of the movie that stands out for me is at the end, when it's up to the mom to decide if they stay or leave... the music, and the scenery behind her as she ponders her decision...
This movie might be in some public libraries on VHS or DVD for those that want to see it.
my children LOVED this movie when they were little!! my little girl has never seen it and she is glued to the screen :) PLEASE LOAD THE LAST PARTS thanks!!!!!
