Lets not discourage, we need to just admonish and not discourage. The only thing i would say is that irrespective of all the worldly affairs, it is duty of parents to give right values to their children. Even if the marriage was in some way other than according to sikh rituals, they were supposed to be calm.

Okay guys, it doesn't matter if she had a vedic wedding or a Sikh Anand Karaj. Both are sacred in their own way. I mean even the Gurus had vedic weddings.What matters is the lack of rehat maryada and the lack of respect shown to Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It isn't just a holy book. It's the GURU of the Sikh religion. They should have done their research before doind what the did. For example, no talking during ceremony, cover your heads and only SGGS should have a canopy, not the bride and groom.
