Thanks for posting this great Bruce Springsteen classic. The sheet music for Roy Bittan's wonderful piano part on "Born To Run" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription.
Absolutely from the Widner concert. I was a freshman there in '75 and students got free tickets. It was a great show in the field house. I can't remember a concert with more drunk and stoned people. They left the wrestling mats down which made it comfortable to sit on the floor, but everyone stood up throughout. Suki the violin player was with him then. Philly got into Bruce long before the rest of the country.
genius! wasnt this when the album was in production? i LOVE the song born to run. but i feel that when it was played live at this stage, it contained all its original energy. when you listen to it live now, it has changed so much!
that album never ceases to amaze me. my favourite album of all time
has anybody seen the wings for wheels documentary? for any bruce fans out there it will be really interesting! i got it with the 30th box set. i dunno if you can get it separately. check it out!! =]
