The Roman Emperor Hercules praised Mohammad? The Roman Empire was defunct by the time Mohammad was born and the only emperor to go by the name Hercules was Commodus who died in 192 AD -- 378 years before Mohammad was born! @SweetWaterGringo It was Heracles not Hercules. And only the Western Roman Empire was defunct, since 476. The Eastern carried on till 1453. It doesn´t matter if you call them Byzantines. They considered themselves Roman and such was the name of their state and title of their emperors.
