  • Nicol Williamson...I just loved him as Merlin, I loved his Shakespere performances, and I'll miss him.

  • RIP Nicol Williamson. Remember him always. Remember him well then...for it is the doom of men that they forget.

  • For it is the doom of women that they forget.

  • The BEST telling of the legend.

  • This scene represents the Victory at Mount Baddon which was won by Arthur leading the Ancient Britons as Dux Bellorum against the invading Anglo-Saxons in around the year 500AD. The battle was in fact a combined siege and relief action. The Angles and Saxons had besieged and beleagured Solsbury Hill and Bathampton Down at Old Bathon (Baddon/Aquae Sulis). Arthur as chief war leader led the decisive uphill charge of mounted Brythons against the enemy of whom 967 were slain. Victory to the Britons

  • dang this awesome movie reminds me of the grim but wise truth about life: nothing lasts forever...

  • for it is the doom of men that they forget

  • This is one of the Best Movies ever.....

  • "And the land will have an heir to wield Excalibur."

  • Favorite quote(Merlin): Behold!!... the Sword of Power!!... the Excaliber!! Forged when the World was young, and bird and beast and flower were One with Man... and Death was but a dream!! One of many favorite throughout this memorable classic story.

  • cool!!

  • I sooo want to watch the rest of this movie now...

  • And a Moat around the castle, don't forget the moat, you can't have a castle without a Moat!

    Love this movie.

Great Movie, probably the best ever epic, classic, etc.etc:)

  • i cant believe one self proclaimed boy king and a wizzard managed to unite the warlords and battlelords of the broken country of britania, and defeat the invading saxons, and the vikings, and the french, and the irish, and the scottish, and other invading kingdoms.

  • I don't remember the French as British invaders, while they did support countender to the crown,no French king looked at England and said;I want that land!but you did leave out the Danes...

  • The Dauphin Louis, later Louis VIII of France, was actually crowned King of England.

  • yeah i think he is right it is the doom of men to forget.

Every fucking clone has got a memory represser device I fuck up I forgot I am fucking doomed. Fuck the world its doomed too.

  • Mate what do you mean Bypassed us during that centruy..come over here in our summer..the sun still bypasses us. The main reason i dont mind tours in Afghanistan or Iraq (im in the Royal Marines Commando's) is so i do actually get a little beam time haha.

  • this is why I LOVE movies,,,,now I can say,,,I was there with Arthur! yeah,,,,i can

  • I've got to state that this is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite movies, great musical score, great writing. I loved how Merlin would just show up out of nowhere during a vital moment in Arthur's life to give him some advice, a classic film.

  • Arthur's grasp of architecture is a bit wobbly: "I shall build a round table, and a hall about the table, and a castle about the hall!"

  • "and I will marry"

  • broeva haro!

  • patric stewart was Geneveres father.

  • At 02:23-24, When Arthur says, "...and I shall marry" and puts his hand on a knight's shoulder I thought he was going to say: "...and I shall marry Patrick Stewart here." Lol.

  • Yes; it is obvious theft from Shakespeare. Arthur probably thought he was in Agincourt.

  • Be Silent! Be still! Love it.

  • Proof that Merlin lived backwards through time!! He stole Henry V's speech!

  • Thats one of my favourite scenes, thanks!

  • Never seen the movie, but would love to (I'm an Arthurian legend freak). Liked the scene, thanks for uploading.

  • I hope you have seen this film now. I doubt you will be happy until you have. Would be good to hear your thoughts when you have.

  • "Thats it"-Merlin LOL

  • love this film!

  • Wonderful, great film and a great scene. Cheers.
