you could try adding an inner bezel to cover up the flaws. I'm thinking of anything that is used commercially already to do that exact task. For example, any of the U shaped chrome material you can get to cover the edges of car doors... Can just cut the edges at the right 45 degree angles so they interlock sorta at the edges. Any material designed to cover up thin edges, I bet an arts and crafts store would have options.

You may want to try knitted wire mesh to fill the gap. still give you som venting to cool the machine.

Great work after seeing the Ipad I think you have out smarted them. Do you have Instructions on how you did the Mod kinda a step by step? Thing to avoid stuff like that.

Damn awesome so far, another good video. So your re-designing the case top due to the bad cut eh? What do you plan to do about the Gap? This video came out a while back, so you might have a solution already. What kind of protection does the screen have? Like, if you where to put in a bag, if something pressed up against it, would it hurt the screen?

yeah i'm gonna redo the design of the top case, i'm gonna design it to compensate for the gap as well. there's no protection for the screen right now, but i'm trying to think of a solution. it MIGHT hurt the screen, and i don't wanna take chances.
