The only problem I had with the new CGI version of this song was in the lyric, "We'll need 10 cans of yummy peas". What in the name of all that is healthy foods, what could've possibly been wrong with the original lyrics, "We'll need 10 cans of black-eyed peas", aside from the fact that there's a rap group called Black Eyed Peas? Never, ever mess with the classics in any way, even something as non-racist and completely normal as this song.

The animation was pretty darn close to Bud Luckey's original (yay!); but I agree that Sesame Workshop shouldn't have let anybody mess with the lyrics. (For crying out loud, "black-eyed peas" is not racist, any more than "red onions" or "yellow squash" would've been!) And that annoying faux British accent speaking the lyrics? It doesn't hold a candle to the folk-band style of the original!
