Although I have only owned Cats, Dogs and a Rat once, I can understand the attachment to ANY pet.

I would never taxidermy my pets because to me it would make me miss them more (I just keep their collars) but I can understand why one would do it. Don't judge one for their "bizzare" actions purely because you "don't understand" it.

okay typically ball pythons get to be around 3-5ft., and NO they are NOT "strong enough to strangle a child," unless youre talking about an infant...im so sick of the misconceptions and false facts that the media just tosses out there about reptiles--particularly snakes...and about the 14ft python "crushing its owner to death," that would only be possible if the owner was a midget...and im not saying snakes arent dangerous, but they are NOT as dangerous as the media makes them out to be :)

As a dog groomer I can honestly say dressing your dog up in clothes is ridiculous. Not only is it a nuisance to your groomer (bc keeping something that close to the fur that is constantly moving causes the dogs hair to mat and tangle) but it looks stupid. And having your pet "stuffed"!? Would you like your family members to have your skin stripped of your body and stuffed and set you out on display because they just can't part with you? No thank you.

1. So "African constrictor" is an automatic bad thing? Captive bred ball pythons are one of the most human-friendly snakes one can get. This is a cheap scare tactic.

2. Misleading! Few ball pythons ever grow up to 6 feet. MOST obtain only 3-4 feet. Not even close to a length that can threaten human life.

i know clothes on pets are usually annoying looking, but it depends on the reason. i have a yorkshire terrier who gets cold in the autumn and winter. she'll start to shiver, so i have a couple of sweaters for her. if she didn't like it i wouldn't force it, but her tail wags a lot when she sees me getting her sweater. in my opinion a dog doesn't need a dress or a fancy outfit just for looks.

The way that woman cares for iguana is not wrong at all. Just plain love. The iguana for her gets good care and social interaction and acts as a therapy animal in return.

My family has the same relationship with rats. They're clean, never bite, and care more about getting to cuddle than food. The only real thing to worry about for people thinking of adopting rats is that they live about two years and cost thousands of dollars in medical bills.
