I saw Kenny Live 2 weeks ago and he played Jean Pierre in some other song. I don't think he blew this by accident, he knows jean pierre is classic and people like to hear it.
He drops Jean Pierre into a different song in every performance as a tribute to Miles Davis, with whom he played. He did it in "Song for Difang" when I saw him this summer. You can find it in other tunes on here too, especiallly "Wayne's Thang."
He uses a 3 band Brilhart ligature, vintage and heavily priced. His mouthpiece i believe is a selmer soloist. Not sure facing, but he sure sounds good on whatever it is...
Kenny Garrett is so fucking awesome.

Why is it that although this does sound nice I still think this is pathetic because I can do this myself and even better?
