  • From the title I expected the first one to appear to be climbing the entire hill with another in tow just to show off. I was prepared to be impressed.

  • @WantCoffee99 yeah mate that would have been good to see. I was suprised when I was actually there filming this years ago that the BJ Cruiser couldnt climb that on its own!!

  • it need the original 17" nylon tires

  • O.o Machito En Estados Unido Primera vez que lo veo BJ74

  • It's a crying shame Toyota never imported the 70 series to the states.

  • sweet

  • bj74 sounds like a six. 12ht?

  • I am a Land Rover owner but have to admit that those models of Toyota's are extremely nice looking vehicles. I don't know about their off road ability as I have never looked into them, but just saw one the other day and I was a little jealous.

  • you dont use desert tyres on muddy slippery slopes

  • TOYOTA - the BEST!!!!!

  • i think that fj40 can do it alone, it needs only a little bit agresive drive with more momentum to pass the last climb. Beautiful cars both of them. 2F was one of the few engines with high torque 290Nm at only 1200 rpm.

  • two are diesel?

  • yeah both are diesel, see surfponto's comment bellow, says its a BJ42, I dont really know my Cruiser Models well enough

  • I think it is a BJ40 or BJ42 since it sounds like a diesel.

    Good footage!!

    Bob

  • Love it: "All right, hook 'em up"

  • Very nice although, that is not an FJ Cruiser its an FJ40, the once pulling is also a Land Cruiser but an FJ70. Great videos, great club!

  • @emoya2831 actually bj40 and bj74 :)

  • yeah, sure was best cruiser ever made!! especially when they have a 350 chev in them !!!

  • You have know idea what you are talking about.

The 2F and the 3B will outlast any chevy 350

  • yeah very true, very reliable motors, but i just like v8's and to have that sort of power on tap off road is quite handy!!

  • What you need on tap is not a whiny little american gas motor, but a beefy, dependable, grunty japanese diesel. Gas motors don't do work. They just play. Real engines don't have spark plugs.

  • actally i agree with you, i have just finished turbo'ing my Nissan TD42 which is just awesome now, 4.2L of turbo diesel!! so much more responsive, might try get a vid up of its mods, just fitting a new clutch in it tomorrow.

I reckon the ultimate would be a 6.5L Chev V8 Diesel in my truck!!

    cheers

  • Thanks for sharing the video: ;-)

  • hehe nice classic fj
