  • HOW NOT TO DEPRESS IN A WORLD LIKE THIS ? BY GETTING MORE ANGRY THAN THE HOUNDS OF ALL HELLS , I THANK THE GODS OF SOUND TO INSPIRE US TO DO BEST AS WE CAN AND GIVE LESSONS TO THE NON BELIEVERS FOR EVER ...

  • the two of them have left a hole in culture...

  • R.I.P Pasolini

  • I can hear the bones humming.

  • Ne plus ultra.

  • ppp.

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • Glives Chris....dont let Normandia fool u!!!

  • memories in Polarcrkle Steenwijk....the wite gliffs off Dover!!! 15 years old back then!!!

  • it is out of this world.

  • briliant

  • The most amazing Industrial/Avant-Garde band to ever exist.

  • This is by far my favorite song. It's extremely powerful. It gives me a choking clenching feeling. I could put this on repeat for hours.

    Rest in peace John Balance.

  • Pasolini, Balance and Christopherson. Certainly they weren't young but their deaths rather before their time...

  • PPP riposa in pace.

  • @AlessioSnaporaz Mai in pace, neanche da morto. In guerra sempre, invece.

  • One of coil's greatest songs.

  • i listen to mainstream and like it every once and a while but they are not memoriable, but I am extremely selective, and Coil is one of my greatess, humming bones and indian sehyonce, makes my flesh shiver.

  • This song is mildly uncomfortable to listen to.

    ...But I can't stop.

  • Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, and Boyd Rice's NON all came about the same time frame.

  • @fwtxnudist despite of the fact that Boyd is a twat, I would say.

  • barking dogs falling over the edge

  • One of my favorite bands homage to one of my favorite filmmakers.

    RIP all.

  • Best industrial album of all time? Maybe ...

  • @jackonfire85

I dont think its industrial, as far as i see it, but it is one of the best albums ever. They are a mind expanding group for me, whether i liked what i heard or not. This song is the pinnacle though

  • @TheIkaraCult Coil were one of the first Industrial groups on the planet, probably the second after Throbbing Gristle

  • @octagon79 There were alot of industrial acts before Coil formed, most playing with Psychic TV. You are probably right about Throbbing Gristle being the first one though.

  • rest in peace, cya soon

  • R.I.P

  • Love out to Jhonn and Sleazy.

  • coil reunion on the other side... sad isn't it

  • great loss r.i.p

  • @lovesGenet what a strange, inconsiderate and barely coherent rant...

  • @lovesGenet

"U canrt talk about the modern condition if u have time portrayed in a beat."

Glad you cleared that up for us. As my gran said, "those who can, write coil albums, those who can't write youtube comments." Oops I got that wrong, she actually said "I like those coil boys, they got a beat, I can tap my prosthetic leg to it." Prosthetic leg was Gran's euphemism for prosthetic spleen. Oops oh my god did I say that out loud?

  • @TheGreywaiter

Very dark part of personal introspection, and very funny at the same time. Coincidence?

  • RIP Sleazy,Jhonn and Pier Paolo-each a genius....

  • RIP Sleazy!

  • R.I.P. Sleazy & JB

  • rest in peace, peter.

  • @x83x an angel rose up to heaven

  • Sleazy :°(

    rip peter!

  • Simply The Perfection.

    RIP Peter!

  • Haha, I love this song...thought it was the Pink Dots the whole time. Gah.

  • I saw Coil live just a short while before he died. When they started this song I ran

to the front of the crowd singing the lyrics. And John gave really dirty looks.Im sorry

  • this guy is fucked up and probably did acid alot

  • @vaf88 Yes, he actually did acid a lot. He says so in an interview I found here on youtube.

  • just as good as farmer in the city by Scott Walker

  • Holy shit I'm making a hardcore punk/oi! version of this

  • @MrJivePirate dont

  • @vaf88 lol I was so stoned when I had that idea. I'm tempted to actually go thru with it now.

  • @vaf88 well i imagine its hard to improve on

  • total art, amazing,

  • Hey coil doing neofolk cool

  • @MrJivePirate That song was released long before the term "neofolk" was invented

  • @needfulthingsTYify huh ok

  • Coil just amaze me. Thanks for uploading this.

  • Great track, memories gongs...

  • Try to type 'since1687' in search - pretty cool

  • The one and only time I saw Coil before John Balance´s death I went to the front of

the stage and sang along to this.He looked like he was about to kill me.Anyway,a very memorable gig.

  • R.I.P. John Balance

  • It's Coil what can you say one of the best most beautiful band to ever come out of the industrial/goth movement. Left Psychic TV way behind every album a gem. John lost his Balance and fell may he rest in peace!

  • Everv song has a wonderful history; google the death of Pasolini.

  • It's so great music.

I love Coil music, it's a kind of dark ambient, neoclassical, dark folk, soundscape, project music...

That it's all my ear need to listen of this good band.

  • unbelievable beautiful track. just sitting and listening to this over and over again.

  • great track! reminds me of tear garden, another unique group

  • Sounds kind of exotic.

  • Excellent art in the form of music. Makes the mind dance.

  • great song!

  • Thankyou so much for posting this.

Beautiful strings, beautiful sentiments... and the mystery of Mr P's death in ostia.

The white cliffs of suicide central call to us all in moments of weakness and confusion.

    Thnx.

  • This song is so timeless. R.I.P John Balance. You can hear the bones humming....

  • Gracias por postear esta cancion. sigue siendo maravillosa. la entonacion de J.balance, una de las voces mas atractivas de la musica realmente independiente.

  • Don't know why, but this is the only Coil song that I love. Heard their other stuff, but can't get into it. This one song is so amazing, though!

  • One of the most beautiful songs in the world. Coil is simply amazing.

  • @trollmaster02235 I couldn't agree more...def at the top of my fave coil songs.

  • Pier Paolo pasolini grande poeta e profeta.

  • r.i.p. Jhonn Balance and Pier Paolo Pasolini
