No, they eventually plan to knock down T2 upon completion of another T4 terminal. Until such time, T3 (when it's built) will work in tandem with T2. Plus, once T3 is built, T1 terminals including the newly built T1D will become the terminal for low-cost carriers.

Google "Delhi airport master plan" and you can read the document. The final schematic for 2026 can also be found online. It's a very ambitious plan projected to handle 100 million pax per year.

It is rather large, if not massive, considering it will be the 3rd largest terminal in Asia. Moreover, work doesn't stop with T3. The building is going to continue with more terminals being added. The final set-up projected for 2026 will have 4 parallel runways and 3 massive terminals to handle 33 million passengers each, besides the LCC-terminal that T1 will end up becoming.

The master plan is to build around 3 such terminals by 2025 /.. This is just phase1 to be ready by 2010 for the commonwealth games
