@rafikx I wish to add here that Sgt. Bilko (check Cannon Fodder intro if You don't remember) died in 2007. He was the man behind music in many (if not the most) of Sensible Software games.

The tune is called "narcissus". There is actually lyrics for it that wasn't in the game, written by the composer... I think they're pretty good.

Google for 'jon hare narcissus' and click the first result if you want to hear them!

Listening to this tune, remembering the recruitment line, the hill filled with graves as a result of my careless attitude towards my soldiers as a kid. It makes me sad. War really is a senseless waste of young life and money. Now excuse me while I preorder battlefield 3. :)

FYI: 'Narcissus', the original 1993 studio version of this theme can be heard in the recently released Immortal 4 compilation album. You can hear a short sample of it at MAZ-Sound website. Has Jon Hare's vocals and saxophone providing the main melody.

I have heard some great "faithful" remixes they really are good. But the creative liberties in this version are awesome. To be honest going the FULL guitar route is always the way I imagined this in the days when i hope some day it would be re-recorded. To me this version is FANTASTIC and the best version I have found on the net so far...amazing. and thansk for posting it!

Gog.com releases vintage game titles that have been out of sale for years and optimizes them for the new windows systems. A lot of good stuff there.
