you've probably been told this before, but my advice would be to just not use the presets. i think everyone bags on fcpx because there are so many pre-defined presets, so just experiment with editing to the beat of the music and using the color board for color grading, and just messing with it until you find a look you like. then there's a bunch of stuff you can do with keyframes, masks, and speed ramps(ramp slow mo stuff) so just look those up on youtube

FCPx is great! Everyone says its for beginners, but there is a lot you can do with it. You can even make ramped slomos super easily, rather than Adobe After Effects.

@flodask8ing21 yeah the only problem here is i exported it with video resolutions that dont fill the screen but ill change that. And I agree FPCx can get the job done, so its all good.

@StealthyNation I have a better idea. Don´t downgrade the resolution but the bitrate of the video. It probably is over 20 Mbps, so if you halften it to 10 Mbps, then your file size will also be half. Youtube can´t handle 20 mbps and barely 10 mbps. With higher than 5 Mbps it´s hard to see the difference in youtube. Of course, for your computer or tv playback you better maximize the quality.

@StealthyNation I don´t know about final cut, but with sony vegas there is an option to "project settings" Make sure it is in 1080p. The most important thing to do is when you are rendering the video, choose settings or video properties, the place where you can adjust the video settings. There should be an option: "stretch to fullscreen" or "don´t letterbox". Also there should be settings to adjust the bitrate of the video. Just mess with menus and you´ll find it. ( if there is such settings)

@formulafriikki hmm yeah I actually found what you mean, and I found a full screen resolution and 720p to upload in, so thats good im all set, but my next 2 videos are already full ready to go so they will still have the not full screen but it shall be changed after!
