@davidblackjack lol it does work. I done it to all 3 of my ipod touches and my iphone including my friends iphone and ipod touch. :) if ur device is not already jailbroken then no it work work. U must be jailbroken prior trying to bypass the password.

I just recently bought an itouch. and i've been scavenging the web for a way to restore or unlock it.

I bought it off craigslist, and it had a passcode, i thought i could reboot it easy. but i can't because the sleep button seems to be jammed (AND HALF THE UNLOCKING TUTORIALS RESTORE ITOUCHES) so i can't manually put it into dfu/recovery mode. How can I unlock or reset it without going without a sleep button.

@MyDoomedAccount some jailbreaking tools will put your device into dfu mode for you. Off hand im not sure which one does but it does work. SO just search for different jailbreaking tools and see which one will put it in dfu mode. once there u can restore with itunes if u dont want to jailbreak it
