In Afghan and Iraq, any news reportter can travel if they wish. But in Sri Lanka during the war, not a single reporter or journalist was allowed by sri lankan gov. They even banned UN and ICRC to enter and help innocent civilian.
French FM, requested the SL FM, in person. French FM said he can go to the war zone to see what is happening.
