aww! i remember watching this episode way back when. I still can't believe it's over. and did anyone else notice that in the series finale justin and betty sit outside on the porch drinking tea just like in this episode? i thought that was really sweet. whether it was put in the finale as a reference or not it was still very sweet :) love betty! looking forward to the maybe movie!

Am i the only one who thinks they did a very poor job at making her ugly? Sure she doesn't meet the standards of all those models, but to me, she just looks like an average girl.

In my opinion, Betty looks like a pug, as in, disturbingly adorable. I agree that she is not ugly, but I think that that's a big point of this show. People tend to compare themselves to other people too much, and when Betty compares herself to the other people of MODE, of course she is considered the unattractive one and therefore, the ugly one. The underlying theme being that people tend to forget about their good traits, or their average traits by comparing them to what other people have.

@iiRawrJess Ugly Betty is not based on The Devil wears Prada. It was a colombian soap opera with the same name, obviously in Spanish (Betty la fea) that aired in the early 2000's. There's another Ugly Betty in Mexico done before the US version, so Ugly Betty did not copy its concept from the movie, but from the original Colombian Ugly Betty.
