Thought: Move "candle" away at least a quarter inch further down.

I know it is a stirling, but still am amazed- did you put Hydrogen in the cylinder, rather than air? Could it have exploded?

This is the future- why are you doing it?

Why: Stirling engine reliable like refrigerator, only is motor atop shiny solar dish (looks like satellite dish) 3 kw is the claimed amount.

Excellent work, especially if you did the requisite machining. If so, you have no doubt found that parasitic frictional losses are significant for engines pressurized at or near ambient vs. a pressurized working fluid [gas].
