woh. maxed blade is awesome. screw nemesis. i want to keep this weapon. Ghost Swordsman Summoning vs weakens with higher levels, and levels every 1 exp. Blade wins.

I think my copy of the game is glitched or something, because he takes no damage when I attack him. His HP does not go down.

You have to keep hitting him and eventually he'll go to stage 2 where you CAN kill + hurt him

WHAT THE CRAP?! This boss fight is i think the second -to- easiest boss fight in the game! i just pummel it with level two sword in both stages.

This is not a very good solution - you keep getting hit. I'm trying to find a way to do it without ever getting hit because I'm trying to get through the game without picking up a single life capsule. I've already succeeded in this but I had missiles last time. This time I'm doing it without missiles.

In reply to this, even though there are better ways albeit riskier, I am going to stick by the fact when I did my first run without picking up 3HP capsules this method regarding playing defensively with the sword worked fine, you're robably doing it wrong.

Thank you! I will try this. i've been so frustrated with Monster X I was about to resort to CHEATS and HACKING, but that would ruin the fun. Lol.

i used the misssles max lvl first then started spamming the maching gun. thing is i was always getting hit too much by the fish. and even is the fish do little damage, it all adds up to a huge chunk of hp being taken away. gonna have to try this stratagy then. sword is the best weapon but never thought about useing it here. i usually go rambo and blast away.

I used the Bubbler a lot in this fight, since it basically makes a shield around you.

This strategy worked for me on 3 HP. I did make a few changes though. I suggest that after you kill all of the eyes (or whatever they are), you stand under him and spam the blade, killing the fish once he starts to move. It goes faster.

Do you have any strategies for the triple boss fight?

That was my strategy too.

For the triple boss fight I like the rocket launcher for the doctors second form, but thats the only strategy I have for them.

Better strategy: Stand between his wheels and shoot up. This makes all attacks miss you because he'll just be hitting his wheels.

Wow, that technique sucks.

I used the Star/Machine gun on form 1 (since you pretty much wreck anything that comes along at you) standing directly below. Form 2 I use Blade2 and killed him in about two passes.

finally I see someone mention the Bubbler for this fight: best way to stay put while avoiding projectiles, IMO.

Even works for the homing fish-missiles with little or no movement

You say that your method is 3HP friendly, but I saw you take more damage than that during your fight.

P.S. I prefer to use the bubbler for the first part of the fight. The bubbles protect you from the projectiles, and even if you do get hit, you'll find lots of health and energy from the things you killed.

If you're referring to the third part of the fight, that was a demonstration that rocket-spamming doesn't work.

Level 2 blade is much more useful on that boss for the entire fight. It protects you from projectiles more easily, takes his HP down faster and just all around better.

In the 2nd part, if you use the Level 2 blade and spam it fast as possible you can do so much damage on his core that he will close up after shooting only 3 missles which can be easily picked off!!
