Not really. I'm not sure I notice any difference in sound and vibration. I bought the S5 suppressors because I wanted to give myself every possible advantage.
Because that's all you can shoot in early archery season. Sep 17 through Sep 30 is antlerless only. I had three antlerless tags and I filled all three, in three days no doubt. Actually I've killed 7 deer in the 11 days that I've hunted. All on public game lands. Not bad for a beginner :)
I have a "real" bow. It's a Samick Sage recurve. No sights, no stabilizers, no frills, and I can drop a 4" grouping at 20 yards. if I had years or experience with my "real" bow perhaps I would hunt with it. But I don't, so I use what guarantees a clean ethical kill. Thats why I chose an easy to use killing machine, like a crossbow or a compound bow. A machine that reduces the risk of a shot that could possibly wound the animal or cause it unnecessary suffering.
This hunt was in 5C. Evansburg State park to be specific. There were three other hunters in my general area. Its public land so the deer get pushed around a lot. If your patient there are good opportunities here :)

Try doing that with a real bow and not a crossbow. Might as well just shoot her with a gun.
