@goshlike76 yea its allowed its just a round foam ball with fabric around it " rock " which only dos white damage, you can only kill some one by hitting them in the head unless they are wearing a helmet that covers the area, rocks also can skip acrossed multiple peoples heads and kill them all unlike arrows which die after first contact

@alexgo4210 : People that do this both: A) need to have a well paying job because costumes and armor is expensive. B) some have martial arts training on some level. C) My GIRLFRIEND does this with me and wants to learn more about it. In fact, the creator of our boff legion IS a female, and both of them are extremely good looking at that (just in case you decided to make any lude remarks regarding out women.)

Most of my legion is either through college or in it.

Go be a low-life somewhere else.

@Halofreakanoid A) I'm a student, yet am almost fully covered with armor. Know where to look is the key. B) I had no martial arts training at any level when starting. In a year I was above average. This IS martial arts training. At least some sort of it. So this isn't really as elitist as you make it sound.

@Halofreakanoid I don't have a regular job. If I can pay for my armour with only student benefit & random jobs every now and then, it doesn't take that much money. My armour cost only about 160€. You made it sound elitist, even though you necessarily didn't mean to. Everyone can do this, if they've got the interest to.

@Halofreakanoid And I am talking about 'real' armour. Real armour which would stop real blows from real weapons. It's a standard, otherwise it won't get through the inspections here. Every piece of armour in the USA is highly overpriced. Try Germany instead. Good quality, good prices.

@DiabolusIgnis : I don't buy out of the U.S, the problem with buying from Germany is that their money is worth more than ours, so the prices are even higher for us here. I tend to buy Canadian if I can, their money is only 1.1 of ours.

I've shopped here before w w w(dot)dein-larp-shop(dot)de/in­dex(dot)php?cPath=20_21_25 , but the plate armor they offer is NOT SCA or live steel rated. 1mm is too thin and all of it is meant for is for larping. Not that it really matters if I'm not SCA yet.

this looks like loads of fun, of course, real battles were fought shield to shield, literally, your commanders didn't care if you were impaled, you would just provide cushioning.

The main reason that Dag battles aren't shield to shield is because people like to wrap shots around your shoulder and hit you on the back, something that really wasn't done in real battle. (Heavier swords and whatnot)
