  • good, but the beach boys stays the best version of this song.

  • Very 90's. Nice though.

  • More cowbell!

  • i have listened to this CD every christmas since it came out...last year i lost it, plus it was way old and scratched..lol.... these songs will always make me feel like im 10 again!!

  • @insnkillr amazon has EVERYTHING!!

  • I did a solo to this song! im only 11 to!

  • @kellypeachesoffical What do you mean 11 to? Who else was 11?

  • @xxshawnee3xx Zac, the youngest, was about 11 when they released this album.

  • So, I have to listen to this on youtube..why? because my mom has my original CD and listens to this on repeat every xmas.

  • AS AN UPDATED VERSION OF THIS GREAT CLASSIC, HANSON DID A DECENT JOB. CONGRATULATIONS!! WELL DONE! SIGNED, AN OLD BEACH BOYS FAN

  • who else thinks that they sound like Robbie Williams here?

I have NO idea why, but they do :s

  • I didn't say they did a bad job. I said Hanson did a good job. I was happy that they'd take a Brian Wilson song from the '60s and perform a good rendition of it.

The original was recorded in Oct. 1963, so the ages of the Beach Boys would have been:

    22 Mike Love

    21 Brian Wilson

    21 Al Jardine

    19 Dennis Wilson

    17 Carl Wilson

Also, Brian Wilson was on a roll at this point in arrangement and production which is the only reason I said it was better. I agree Hanson could do a great job now.

  • Oh, I'm not saying you said they did badly... but I think it's pretty great considering Zac was 12 and Taylor was 14. Having 12/14 year olds (ESPECIALLY a 12 year old) struggling to make notes in a song would definitely bring anyone down.

This is one of the poorer songs on the album, I have to say. The ones they wrote themselves seem much better suited for them than this song.

But to stick to the other fact... the beach boys had their own sound that cant be tampered with. Nothing can compare

  • The Beach Boy version is superior in production, harmony, and overall sound. Hanson did a good job with it and I'm glad that the genius Brian Wilson wrote is being covered 30 and 40 years later.

  • If what I looked up is correct the youngest beach boy was 23 when they performed this.

Hanson's oldest was 17 (the lead- Isaac) at the time they sang this- The other two being 14 (Taylor) and 12 (Zac)

With that said I think Hanson did a GREAT job.

It's unfair to compare 12-17 to 23+ year olds- voice maturity can skew the overall sound of course.

This was 1997. They could probably do this song much better justice now that they are past puberty since their harmonies got much stronger with age.

  • Hearing this takes me back to when I was 12 and had a huuuuuge crush on Zac haha... Not ashamed of it, though, little Zac was really cute and I do still love their music!

  • this NEVER gets old

  • I played this CD so much when I got it. My parents were sick of it. Still love to play it. What can I say?

  • its hanson what can i say

  • i don't really care for the Beach Boys but i do love Hanson, so i'm gonna have to disagree :)

  • love it :)

  • Original by the Beach Boys is better, but this is nice
