I'd never heard Sarsate play; all I'd ever heard of him was Pablo Casals saying in his as-told-to biography that he never practiced but still played incredibly well. I can't always tell how he's getting the effects he gets, and that's very good indeed. His playing overall is smooth and assured--it sounds like he practiced, which is amazing.

was a Navarrese Spanish violinist and composer of the Romantic period.

Side 1 very sweet, pitch selection seems perfect... beautiful. Side 2 is slightly fast (?) or are they really identical after all?
