When I first saw this, I agreed with the people who thought the coach was an asshole. But the more I think about it, he actually did the opposing team a favor. For the rest of their playing days, you can be damn sure they'll remember that when the center picks up the ball, the play has started. A basic football fundamental that they need to always keep in mind on defense.

Like this silent count the ball is just handed off so neither the offence nor the defence know when the ball is snaped unless htere all looking at the quarterback
