  • FIGHT Go on steve :)

  • 5 years on and the content industry is still "looking" for "new" business models and still doing the transition.

  • when i see things like these i say "man, i would like to meet him once and have a conversation" and then i remember, yes.. he passed the way.

    DEP Steve Jobs.

  • she is so stupid, holy moley

  • Comment removed

  • "graphics are better, but it is a lot like it was 10 years ago" what are you talking about? of course it is! the cars are just the same as they were 100 years ago heh. they are much better. look better, move faster. but essentially it is just a moving box on 4 wheels huh. man, I hate when people talk like that.

  • I like it at 7:55 when the WHORE starts talking, and the MAN continues without recognizing her speaking at all... OMG she ruined this otherwise magical interview. I pray to God she has read all the online hate of her "performance"...

  • She didn't do her research about the 2 companies...

  • The woman likes to change topics...so stupid. SHe doesn't know what's happening.

  • The guy is running the show

  • Vista = Win 7 open beta . GG

  • wow 7:00 really is just kinect being described.

  • I am thinking, how would have Steve responded if the lady called again for another interview

  • Haha mentioning Kinect before it's even released

  • someone direct that hoe to the kitchen

  • I like how Bill mentions that he controls Halo when Halo was originally created and actually revealed on the Apple platform. :P

  • maybe I'm wrong but do you think Bill was hinting towards the Kinect for the xbox here!

  • Amazing that in a world where the next best thing is obsolete the moment it goes off the shelf, Back in '07 these guys were talking about stuff that is still relevant today.

  • they predicted lik move controller

  • he's talking about kinect at 6:37

  • Doesn't Bill Gate's voice sound very alike to Mark Zucherberg's?

  • Bitch, STFU and let the men talk. Fking annoying as hell.

  • The pokerface on Bill when Vista comment is thrown out there...

  • They predicted a lot during this interview...Bing, iPad, Kinect and others. There are things touched upon here that have not been released yet.

  • @Lannes44077 who do you think are developing these things? herp.

  • These men are getting old and dying. Where are the generations to replace their positions?

  • Playing with their Ipod,Ipad xbox360 and ps3 (which had Microsoft bois in it)...lol

Steve Jobs is the King of Inovating hardware,Bll Gates is the king of inovating software...if anything wannabes hope to be at least 1/4 as good as them 1 day

  • @youme1414 Just wait... When Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were young they were wondering the same thing and they pointed at types like Jobs and Gates as the kind of persons who were ruining society (hippies and stuff), and here we are today. Great people will always be born.

  • @oldkidsjonge I agree with you. I need to start doing something than just wait.

  • Windows XP Professional is the best that ever came out end of the story!

  • @lokiloki981 in your opinion.

  • @mathgurlcta you think win7 is good ?? dude Win xp was made for hackers or Linux ..

  • @lokiloki981 HAHAHAHA You're funny.

  • @oldkidsjonge u dont know shit litle ass man ,...

  • @lokiloki981 Oh no, you're such a fucking genius. Well, at least you sound like one, jackass.

  • @oldkidsjonge broo..you didnt drop your balls yet did you?? litle as kid ... fucking Blondie

  • @lokiloki981 sure whatever dude. You calling me a blondie? Shut up you nigger.

  • @oldkidsjonge shut up... calling me anigger while your a blondie sucking your friends dick on your fuking videos get a life litlttle as man

  • @lokiloki981 sure dude, whatever you want...

  • Vista isn't the best, but it is a great.

  • @JustHDs no.

  • I love the way they both can't help but talk about the products they're developing but only through the magic of 'imagine'. This video is fantastic with the benefit of hindsight, go YouTube!

  • "Imagine a game where you can just pick up a tennis racket and swing it", something tells me bill was doing more than just imagining it. kinect anyone?

  • Old bearded man: ramble ramble ramble ramble ramble ramble... Point.

  • Steve and Bill are the most intelligent and friendly people of the last few centuries. They should get recognition better than Nobel prizes. They have given work to millions of people.

  • 0:44, The only thing I hear on X-Box live is people calling you gay, a noob or dumb. That said, it still is very interesting for integrating systems such as X-Box Live

  • Minute 7:00 Bill talks about today's Xbox Kinect System!

  • Bill is as much a visionary as Jobs if not more so. Jobs is just a better showman.

  • @KURTNDAWN exactly, but bill is just as insightful and a pioneer as steve

  • same as Part 6 - man those interviewers are embarrassing!!!! Agree RyanEnty - the woman is sooo ditsy! Just where and HOW did they every get to be presenters?!?>!?>

  • i dont understand why that woman is there, she is just getting in the way

  • XBOX KINECT!!! Go Bill "6:36"

  • @desaad37 of course they didn't predict anything - they were only asked to give opinions on 5 years from then. If they'd asked 10-15 years, they'd have got a more thoughtful answer

  • I love how they talk about "whats next" and now close to 5 years down the road, those are the big things/ are not the big things. The PC interface is now moving closer to the phone interface(Loin). who woulda guessed?

  • Ok let me be the guy who says it... Women belong in the kitchen, their brains are smaller and slower and dont work as well...thats why they never invented or discovered anything worth while...

  • 7:59 All three of them are just ignoring her now. LOL

  • This bitch has no idea whats going on around her..

  • @saspaean hahahaha, that cracked me up. i know, she's completely lost and is just annoying in this legendary interview

  • 3:43 lol

  • she clearly belongs in the kitchen.....

  • Each time I hear the woman's voice I want to close the window and get out of Youtube. She is so freaking annoying.

  • Two big icons. Who will be the next ?

  • lol vista the worst winodws ever just download a modded version of xp and duse that

  • 'Vista has just come out' COUGH COUGH lol

  • @2001mark Remember, this was in 2007. 4 years ago. When Vista was just out.

  • omg the comments they hurt... of course he predicted this stuff, they were 5-10yrs ahead with ideas & concepts LOL

  • that's where gates found metro styles UI

  • 2 men's dream

  • I hate these interviewers. They don't care about anything except "WHAT'S THE FUTURE GOING TO BE LIKE!!?!?" "Well, it's hard to say. Lot's of..." "YEAH THAT'S GREAT AND ALL BUT ANSWER THE QUESTION. ARE WE ALL GOING TO BE FLYING IN THE FUTURE!?!??!"

  • netflix!

  • > Vista the Best Version of Windows

    I Facepalmed

  • @TrapnestShinigami I don't think, windows 8 will be much better, I've tested the developer version, its too damn fast!!!

  • @kalfels

Yeah well, Windows 7 is a lot better than Vista, but my computer is 6 years old and runs on XP quite well... the problme is that Vista is one of the worst versions of Windows, to the point that on older PC's people prefer XP over Vista. My next desktop probably will be a Mac, but that's because of work isues.

  • @kalfels I'm amazed how great windows 8 DP works even for a pre-beta release! I have no need to run dual o/sbecause it is just that good. I think MS is on the right track

  • @TrapnestShinigami it was, it was a massive shift at core, the problem was the hardware makers where slow to respond!

  • @vineethjose

    right........... 0/10

  • @TrapnestShinigami you could even go -10/10 , the fact is Vista was a paradigm shit, even 7 is an optimized version of Vista. So is 8.

  • @Bocktiggi

    why not

  • @TrapnestShinigami

Because I never had a bluescreen on vista. Also: beautiful features and low requirements.

  • @Bocktiggi

    Don't describe my old Pentium/Win 95

  • i reckon this guys just repetitive, no life in the interviewers voice.

  • Gates did the Kinnecht thing, right, lame as it is; yet, Steve has it where we have our hands all over it w/ iPad more desirable than sit at a desktop.

  • Why have two interviewers?

  • tell that woman to stfu.........!!!!!!

  • @weeblerbob I agree, Linus could learn a few things from these guys.

  • They need to bring Linus Torvalds here

  • @weeblerbob hahahahahahahhaahhaah

  • Both geniuses.

iRest in iHeaven Mr. Jobs. Why did you have to go so zune.

  • 6:42 Xbox Kinect

  • Agreed.... watching Steve Jobs squirm a bit now makes sense as he describes the iPad w/o giving it away.... PURE MASTERY of telling you w/o telling you.....

  • It's also amazing how generous both of these men are. They continue to talk about how to improve technologies in terms of people communicating each other and making daily lives easier and convenient to go through. These guys are technology geniuses but great human being first. RIP Steve Jobs

  • @AnAmericanIdle The reason for the bite out of the apple: The original Apple Computer logo was simply a full apple. Apple Corp, the British company started by The Beatles felt that the logo was too similar to their own and sued for trademark infringement. So Apple Computer needed to change the logo to greater differentiate the Apple Computer logo from that of Apple Corp. What they decided to do with the logo was take a 'byte' out of the apple, thus showing their geeky pun abilities.

  • The "i" is from Steve's interim position at Apple as iCEO. I'm not sure what thinking went into the "i" as a mark for his products or the individual connection that people have with those products. I would guess a little of both. Typically, Apple products take many years in development. You can see Jobs talk about this at some keynotes. You can see Steve smirk through the whole interview when Gates touches upon the future which Apple had in development.

  • seeing these interviews.. I really really really hope... that Steve is stiil around now.. DARN it..

  • its amazing watching these guys talking about the future and seeing now what they did what they did with those ideas

  • @AnAmericanIdle The "I" before alot of Apple prodects means "me", "you", and so on, because it is your phone ( as in the iPhone). The logo/name is an apple because Apple was technically established in the apple captial of the world, at that time anyway. I have absolutely no clue as to why there is a bite in the apple. I hope this helped. You should whatch "Pirates of Silicon Valley."

  • hahahah at all the people who think its amazing that they just guessed what was going to happen in 5 year, of course they know what the fuck is going to happen there heads of 2 of the biggest companies on the plant. the companies have long term plans that would be for the next 10 to 20 year, and all the products that we're getting today started development at least 3 years ago.

  • Both men were brilliant, Gates did pretty much layout Microsofts road map between part 5-7. Windows Phone 7, and Windows 8 in tablet, and a total convergence between the living room, pocket and office.

  • Hi, Can someone tell me the origin/reasoning for the use of the apple fruit as an icon, the bite out of the apple, and the "i" preceding the name of each device? thanks

  • @AnAmericanIdle Dunno about the fruit but the I thing is pretty obvious. . .

  • I was really blown away to see how Gates described kinect. It is unbelievable how brilliant they are and I believe most people don't see it. I am positive that I would never have ended up here watching this whole discussion without the death of Jobs and hate that death influences us in that way. Can't believe that I miss someone who I never actually knew. It is really hard to explain what the two of them have contributed to our world. It is indescribable what we have lost. Thank You and RIP Jobs

  • This is awesome seeing these two GIANTS talking about what they created and are creating.

  • God, take the old bearded fuck and give us Steve back.

  • bill is talking about the future in the past, Amazing! Steve Jobs absolute legend apple vs microsoft equals draw when you take into consideration apple is a lot bigger now thanks to the pair of them!

  • I believe the interviewers are Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher, who are the technology columnists/editors for the Wall Street Journal. Which tells me a lot about why I never think to get my technology information from the Wall Street Journal. They are really not good interviewers from what I can tell.

  • And you can measure their rising frustration with their "hosts" by Steve's oscillating leg throughout this interview..... Were they told to "interrupt" or "direct" the discussion? 'cause they're completely superfluous....next....

  • Scott McNealy and Bill Joy also deserve some credit - 'Network is the Computer' were the words of McNealy and it's unfortunate that now those voice are muted based on the Oracle acquisition. Bill and Steve are heavy weights - no doubt, but many other companies are unfortunately being forgotten - Sun, Silicon Graphics, and many others.

  • 0:30 "delivery platform is the internet" Bill Gates just described Netflix in 1 sentence!! Truly he is an amazing amazing technologist. Beautiful accurate predictions.

  • @mongobeetle Bill Gates is amazing. He is a genius.

  • pancreatic cancer... theres no app for that. RIP Steve Jobs one of the greatest minds of our time.

  • RIP Steve Jobs...one in a billion.

  • 0:44 facebook?

  • @youtuuberoxx facebook wasn't around, or if it was, it wasn't big yet.

  • @Designandrew i was just wondering if facebook creators got their idea from watching this lol

  • Wonder how that women's career went since this interview ?!

  • Did anyone else laugh really hard when the guy said "Windows Vista is your best OS"?

  • even Nintendo had his ass kicked in this interview.

    RIP Steve Jobs..

  • Isn't it odd that Bill talks openly about innovative technology that Microsoft could possibly be working on (like xbox kinect, 3D virtual bookstores etc.), but Steve keeps his lips sealed?

  • steve had the iphone already inside his pocket during the interview, he's just keeping it a secret.. these interviewers are crazy!..

  • bill gates just can't spell the "g" at the end of present continuous. i mean like, ever

  • I hate this women!

  • RIP

  • R.I.P Steve Jobs 1955-2011

  • STFU WOMAN.

  • Shes pretty much trying to pry open every secret they've got. Which i'm sure she was told to do. But that's just rediculous. Get real, they can't tell you about everything they're doing or thoughts on what they have in store for the next few years. Shes moronic.

  • The woman interviewer is terrible. Not because she is a woman, if she was a man i would be saying the same thing, but its the way she has worded her questions. I'm sure the questions she wants to ask is very good, but she has worded them in a way that it is indecipherable what she wants them to reply to.

  • I want to kill her.

  • All you guys hating on Kara Swisher, get your heads out of your asses. She is one of the most successful person in technology journalism and that's why Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and all the other top CEO's and innovators keep coming back to the All Things D conference every single year! She has huge respect in the industry!

  • @kishan4910 doesn`t change anything about the fact that she`s fuckin annoying

  • This woman is obsessed with "entertainment"

  • WOW, at some point the old guy decided just to start shutting the lady journalist the fuck down, hahaha. She tries to ask a question at the end and he doesn't even blink as he continues talking.

  • I don't get it why does everyone dislike the lady journalist? I admit sometimes she doesn't have the best questions out there but, she does ask some questions that lead to the next BIG question. So sincerely without not as much would've been shared and made this interview as good.

  • @kjoshi93 she sucks

  • @jmoore2333 That doesn't change the fact that the IPod Touch is not a gaming device. If you think it does, then the PC is also a gaming device.

  • IS bill gates a freaking medium or something? He predicted iPads, kinect, tiVo... WTF

  • @armanivi All of these things were already in development...in the same way, there are things being developed right now that we can't even wrap our minds around

  • @hincapie12 Maybe 10 years ago we wouldnt be able to wrap our mind around it but in todays world everyone is in the "in" and has some vision for the future.

  • @armanivi Not to mention Chromebooks.

  • @armanivi not a medium. Just a guy at the centre of that industry. More or less all technology is built on ideas that have existed for years or even decades. But as both the available technology and the market have to be there for those ideas to evolve into anything more than ideas.

  • @armanivi well you also have to remember that bill and steve worked very closely with each other. It seems that Bill can handle telling the public what might happen, and what is being produced at the same time not reveal anything.

  • @armanivi Well they do work on these things years in advance.

  • @armanivi alot of future tech is already invented but is slowly released in order to maximize profit. As much as they wanna seem vague they have very clear answer to what is going to come out and when.

  • @armanivi he also predicted webcam features that can hide your face

  • @armanivi They didn't predict anything. These are things they were working on developing at the time.

  • @desaad37 The problem comes from the fact that Bill Gates predicted something APPLE-CLASSIFIED...

  • @desaad37 your a complete idiot.. really?

  • @desaad37 thats not the point look it all came together..

  • @armanivi If you look up all the technology behind it all Microsoft was actually first.. Microsoft had their first tablet pc in 2001, so the iPad was roughly 10 years late to the game.

As for Kinect its a microsoft product that definitely has been under development for a long time.

Digital Video Recorders like TiVo have existed since the late 90's, but they didn't reach the average consumer market until now(Allot due to the digital broadcasting not being standardized back then.).

  • @armanivi hahaha.. that's what I was thinking.. lol

  • sounds like bill is talking about the kinnect

  • hmmm... Wouldn't that be amazing... An Apple game system...?

  • @Sk8onURown The iPod Touch is the best selling gaming device by volume on the market today.

  • @jmoore2333 Its primary usage is not as a gaming device. You could make the claim that the PC is the best gaming device with that logic.

  • @rattlehead9127 Except with the iPod touch, you can measure how many users use them for games, specifically by sales of games for the unit. According to Apple (who tracks this via their App store), the number of people who buy iPod Touch units and use them for gaming exceeds sales of any other gaming device. (Most recently, Tim Cook talks about this in the iPhone 4S keynote)

  • Funny to see Gates talk about kinect at around 6:50

  • It's amazing how brilliant both of these men are...each basically described the future technologies of today four years ago. I was truly impressed by Gates he basically detailed the concept of the smart phone, tablet, and kinect perfectly as we know it today. It seemed Microsoft chose to invest more in kinect, which may pay off in the future, while Apple delved into the successful iPhone and iPad market. Btw the woman is clueless...RIP Steve Jobs

  • @xXLETHALxX17 Not to take any credit from Bill, but it's pretty easy to see those things in the future when companies like Sony invested in camera-based-motion control a decade ago.

  • @xXLETHALxX17 they were not prophetic as you allude to. All of these technologies were in development phases within their labs at that time, and probably well before that interview. It takes years of development (System Engineering 101) to "safely" present to the public what will be released soon, so it would seem prophetic, but the truth is they both have their fingers on the pulse of what is in development stages within their major competitors labs/drawing boards.
