Thank you so much for this video, it brought tears to my eyes. Even almost 3 years later, I still can't believe he's gone. I've been a fan of "Get This" since it was actually airing & I've been listening to all the full shows for the past few months this year; geez, Richard was talented. What a massive loss.
Its so hard to believe that we will never see him again i only wish her were around to see how much he is truly missed, i even marked this video as a favourite in my list it was really well done.
I still miss Richard, though i couldn't listen to get this allot due to being at school, i made up for it when he joined pete & myf. Only when Richard died did i realise the death of someone you dont know personally can affect you just as much as looseing a relative can.
An intergration aide at my school went on the pete & myf end of season footy trip she said that he was the nicest, kindest and most cheerful man you will ever meet.
i still miss Richard, i used to listen to him in the morning on triple m with Pete and Myf and before that I used to listen to him on Get this when i was home from school, it is so hard to believe he is gone
I'm just an ordinary bloke who listened to Get This and the Pete & Myf show, but I have to say that Richard was without a doubt the most amazing, under-rated talent seen or heard on Australian media. If only he realised how good he was and how much happiness he bought his fans, then I'd like to think he'd still be here. You're a hero Marslando, and I'll never forget you.
Oh my god, that really took me back!! How i miss that man and that show! I wish i could have known him and been part of his life! A true talent and entetainer! My heart goes out to all his family and friends! Richard narsland was truly one of a kind (note narsland a ref for get this fans) !!!
Firstly to the creator: such a brilliant tribute. Well done. Personally, I never met Richard. Only heard him on GetThis! podcasts over last few months. To read a tribute like "nobody ever had less to be sorry about" is just heartbreaking. So sad that someone so talented to make so many people (like me) laugh harder than ever before, couldn't overcome the severe sadness within himself.
thank you so much that was such a lovely tribute to Richard. I cried but I laughed and remembered how much joy he brought to our lives. podcast 163 is hard to hear but I will never forget Richard
I remember back during Com Fest 2008 when I was standing in line at HiFi, Richard came over to meet me as he recognised me from so many gigs at The Local
Mate you out did yourself this is an amazing tribute thanks for putting it together, Richard is the man and too still think of him today shows that he left a mark in all who listened and enjoyed his work, go on venga bus be free and at peace.
Fantastically fitting memorial - outside of Get This I had never witnessed any of his work, it's quite obvious from this footage he truly was a giften person.
That was so great! Thanks so much for doing that. You even used my footage of the vengabus being sung at the end! I feel special!
I shed a tear. Or a few...
Great stuff.
It still hits me every now and then that he's really gone. I listen to him all the time still and have trouble grasping that he's not with us anymore. We love you Rich.
This really brought a tear to the eye .. I still can't believe he's gone. Never has there been a more caring and just plain NICE guy than Rich, what a brilliant tribute.
This was a really lovely tribute. Thankyou ! Richard was truly amazing. And can i just say that * interrupted by Toto's Africa*

I'm not a big radio listener so I only recently discovered the great Mr Marsland on podcasts of Get This.
I've never laughed so much.
The Venga Bus song is still being sung at my house.

He was such a great talent and such a caring, funny, smart and nice person.
I will always remember the fake voices he put on when on Pete and Myf

The rapid decline in quality of humour on Rove can only be attributed to one thing - the loss of one R. Marsland
